Jersey Flegg 2026

Really good to see seve playing flegg only 17 years old he is going to be special
certainly helps having player like him coming in to add to backline.

Now if we can get Bishop into Flegg at FB that will help a heap with attack and defence.

1 Bishop
2. Latu
3. Seve
4. Kearsey
5. Gow.

That’s much MUCH better for Rosenmeyer and Crosswell to work with.

They might get a week off but the 19yrols from SG will move up from SG and forwards wise that’d be Beual Hill, Riley Wells, Devante Hurrell, Caleb McCrae and Ashton Allen. Massive help.

What do we think will happen with Winter, Butler and Hagan?

Butler is 17 I think and focusing on Aus school boys. As far as I’m aware he isn’t in calculations for Flegg. That could have changed thoughC Hagan looks like he might push to NSW Cup instantly and you’d imagine Winter will too. They could mix it up though, the NSW Cup backline is pretty good currently with just FB right now the only spot available with the South Newie players there currently.

Not sure what will happen with them but all three must be kept at all costs, they all have extremely high ceilings with Hagan holding the potential to be the best hooker in the game

Fleggs goal line defence so far proving a whole lot stiffer then Cups. Lead 10-0 after 35.

When Jack Hilliar plays first grade for us, I'm really going to wonder what that little hiatus to Manly was all about.

Interesting inclusions.
Logan Aoake at fullback - I think it's his first Flegg game in about 2 years after playing a lot of cup.
Ball players Nonu, McRae and Bishop get their first Flegg start.

Aoake has played 31 games of reserve grade going back to 2024 when he started in Ball and was 17/18.
He probably played Flegg in 2024, but I don't think he did in 2025, or maybe just a game or 2.

Knights up 16-6. Latu has scored the last 2 and converted both from the sideline. Admittedly haven't been paying close attenton to Flegg this year but don't remember seeing him kick goals before.

Nice win in the end.

  • Harrison Kearsey 11'
  • Sosaia Latu 17'
  • Sosaia Latu 20'
  • Hilliar off from minute 28 till 51 - Parra score 3 times and go ahead
  • Harrison Cash 54'
  • Sosaia Latu 57'
  • Sosaia Latu 69'
It's crazy how we always go well with Hilliar on the field and fall to bits when he goes off.
It's been that way for years, back to Matts days.
In this game I'm pretty sure all our tries were scored with Hilliar on the field and all but 1 of theirs were scored when he was off.
Hilliar is a good defender and talks a lot, but the guy is a prop, so I don't know how he is so influential - but you can't argue with the pattern - take him off and we fall to pieces.

I enjoyed watching Bates and Hiller, both are great prospects, great game from Latu as well, I didn’t know he was a goal kicker
