Hoad brothers are a very impressive, we're 10 times the team with Aiden at 9.

DeCoucery and Harley massive, McEwen strong, Loza and Ryder work well together to kick long and create opportunities. Knocking off top team in Melbourne. What a performance.
 
Melbourne were getting 3 defenders on McEwen all game and Walker and De Courcey were loving the room to move.

Really good performance. Plenty of strike on the left edge. That being said I wanted to punch DeCourcey through the tv for kicking right at the end.
 
The best part of the game is that Melbourne played a very good game and are near the top of the table and we beat them fair and square - if anything, they got more than their share of calls go their way.
When Melbourne got in the clear they put together some quality passing and scored some brilliant tries - but we were the stronger and better side.
Not many of those kids would make our strongest possible side either. Votano, McCarthy, Sharpe, Arthur, ESL, Hopwood, Manuleleua, Hunt, Aoake etc could all play Flegg.
 
Interesting game today.

We haven't lost a game since Ryder Williams joined us from the Titans. We have gone from 13th to 9th and a win today will see us jump to 7th.

Both us and Penrith have had to make 6 changes due to injuries in higher grades.

We pretty much have an all new backline including Marcus Dacre, the Canadian Union player, and Aiden Gow, the try scoring freak from SG Ball.

Our forwards look very strong, with Bailey Carmichael and Jack Hilliar on the bench.

This one Sully just made a line break right up the middle and had Ayton Hoad with him and he dummied to Ayton when the got to the fullback and just went himself to score under the posts

Gow had an awkward fall contesting a bomb - they are testing his knee - he looks OK, but they are taking him off
 
bit of a game where both sides are throwing the ball around and turning it over too often - just our defence has been better than theirs so far
 
The Hoad twins are very impressive. Don’t think I’ve seen either have a bad game so far, thought Sully made a real fist of centre and hit the ground running at fullback today. Both look like real goers.

Great finish from Gow on his try. Feared the worst seeing his reaction when he went down with the knee injury but he seems to be ok.

Uneventful first half for D’Acre but that’s not a bad thing for his first game of league. Seems very comfortable with the contact/tackling, not unsurprising coming from union/7s, but still a good starting point for a project player. His positioning in attack on backline movements has been a bit off, he’s getting very deep almost like an extra fullback. Clearly a very good athlete and hopefully get to see him in some space.
 
Gow stayed out there, despite the trainer trying to get him off. I think he just jarred his knee.
