Jersey Flegg 2025

Aydon Hoad thought it was long enough since he last dived over from Dummy half, so he dived over for his 3rd

Cody Hopwood (reserve grade) and Wil Sullivan (? Injured) are out and Jermaine McEwen and Bailey Carmichael are in. I don't think we lose much there. Hopwood was our best last week, but McEwen is very likely to be our best this week, and Carmichael was our best prop in the early rounds before missing weeks with injury, so he might bring as much as Sullivan.
Cullen Gray replaces Toby Winter at fullback - both are exciting ball runners - we don't know how Gray goes under a high ball.
Aiden Gow has been named 18th man, which shows he is training with Flegg and has gone on this road trip to Melbourne - good for his development.
Storm are coming 3rd and we are 11th, but we had our best game of the season last week and it felt like the team is coming together nicely.

19 Jack Hilliar is a late inclusion for 17 Bailey Carmichael on the bench.
Hope Bailey is back soon, was killing it early rounds.

Great news about Gow. Would imagine that'd move Sully to 14 and put either Decourcey or Latu at centre for Gow to get some games.

0 - 6 after 4 minutes
soft try - we were trying to let it go dead and a Melbourne player snuck in and grounded it

12 - 6
Jack Hilliar makes a line break on his first touch and 2 tackles later barges over for a try near the posts

16 - 12
Try to De Courcey out wide.
Neat try assist from Jermaine McEwen who drew 3 defenders and passed to De Courcey

16 - 16
Storm kicked from a scrum - Gray claims he won the race and it looked like he did - but Melbourne player given the try

halftime 16 - 16

Funny moment - Melbourne player started to run from dummy half and looked up and saw McEwen in front of him and stopped and doubled back behind the ruck and went the other way.
A few of them are going home with bruises to remember Jermaine by.

20 - 20
Try to De Courcey after a kick to the ingoal by Harley Walker after a long chain of passes

24 - 20
De Courcey scores in the same spot 2 minutes later after Melbourne fumble a kick and De Courcey swoops on it
