That’s a good win with players out. Young Hunt is really making a mark in his first year. Straight into Flegg and hasn’t missed a beat.

I went along and had a look at the game today and Lozza and Hunt were very good. After the game Hunt came over to speak to a family member near me and I was so surprised with his size. I am just under 6ft and he was at least 6’2” and has a very strong build in the upper body. The second try he scored he ran aggressively through 2 defenders close to the line, bumping them off easily. He could easily turn out to be a good lock forward with his size, foot work and ball skills.

The last 2 weeks have been great wins considering the players we aren't using. Both against top 8 sides with a pretty close to a Ball strength side.
No Bryan, Sua, Rahme, Davis, McCarthy, McKewn, Sharpe. Votano, Hopwood and we have let Myers and Henderson go to other clubs.

I really think we should have a crack at the Flegg title. Dobson coached a side to win the Qld equivalent 3 or 4 years ago, and given first choice of players, I'm sure he could win Flegg from here.

Really happy Haami Loza is going great in his opportunity. He has the playing style of a Mitch Moses/ Benji Marshell. Great footwork and talented passing game. Let’s hope the club has him high up on there list for developing.

I was doing an internet search for Latu the other day and was surprised to see that Loza and Latu played together for the same team in NZ. Loza came over last year to play Mathews and Latu joined him this year. I suppose it explains all the try assists from Loza to Latu though.

I am seen both of them hanging out together up at Charlestown Square… that explains the relationship.

I watched Lozza closely together and his game really impressed. He has beautiful soft hands and Hunt’s second try came off a beautiful short ball from Lozza. His defence has improved significantly from earlier in the year when playing SG Ball and even his kicking game shows improvement. More importantly he plays tough for a young half and doesn’t mind the contact. Very good prospect, hopefully the club has plans to extend him longer term.
