Whilst a good point, the court of public opinion doesn’t believe in innocent until proven guilty, as shown by many charges that were put on players.
 
club taking action for PR over the nrl integrity unit is bad business, this plays out until nrl hand a decision post conviction. Play on.
 
I don’t think it’s bad business it’s actually good business, they think someone did something against the set standard and want him to know punishment comes from the action, and hope that stops him doing it again.

I see it as nothing more than letting him know their is a standard and it must be abided to no matter who you are, great message for the current top 30 and the juniors.
 
So that’s McEwen and most likely Lucas out for the Dragons game, with Origin just being two days before. New look second row incoming!

It was low range DUI. Given that DUI of alcohol is legal until a given point, it also follows that a low range DUI could be somewhat accidental.

Despite the headline we actually have very little information to know exactly what sort of punishment the lad deserves. I certainly wont be judging him.

You are correct.
Drive whilst suspended is a fine only offence incurred for excessive demerits, failure to pay fines etc or can be ordered by police after DUI's until the court date for the matter.
Drive whilst Disqualified is a much more serious matter with penalties ranging from fines and good behavior bonds right up to gaol terms.
