Jake Clifford

I didn't say I'd ignore you CBM I said you didn't annoy me, but happy to keep on throwing out bait while you jump on it :)

Shame we don't have mods at the moment as your ruining about 4 consecutive threads at the moment with your idiocy aren't you?

Same same rent free in your head.

Except you’ve brought me up in 2 of them before I’ve said a thing. You can’t help yourself.

Looking to backflip on his deal according to the Mole.

Considering the usual accuracy of the source I’m assuming he can’t wait to come down here.

Simi had his most complete game as a 5/8 on Sunday. He did the bulk of the kicking and got some good distance with his kicks and was also our most threatening player with the ball in hand.
I think we need a firstgrade ready half still, but i'm thinking that Crossland and Simi are both future options if we miss out. We'll probably need to give Green another year if Clifford doesn't come, and slowly introduce Crossland and Sasagi.
Tex might also get his defence up to scratch to play 5/8 - or we can just pull the pin and play Tex at fullback and Ponga at 5/8.

I love the moles ultimate get out with his last sentence: it will.be denied by all sides but the back flip was asked for. How do you argue with that?

Ok, I say this assuming that Clifford wants to be here and Obi has done his homework that Clifford is exactly the type of player that he wants in the halves. I actually think he wants to be here right now. So here I go:

I don't want any player here who doesn't want to be here and Clifford is going to need some work on his defence judging by games the titans match at the weekend, so if he doesn't want to be here, don't make him come.

I think there is still a special player in Anthony Milford given the right environment, he has gifts that few do. He has some defensive issues but some of that is down to attitude. He would now be available for around the same money Clifford would be on. I think he could be a real x factor for a very good team if he could be rejuvenated by a move. He has to get out of Brisbane. There are too many scars for him there. Of course, if he did come here, we'd have to keep Seibs right away from him.

Just a left field option, I'm still right behind Clifford at this point.

I thought about Reynolds too, the difference being the price tag.

Makes me think Clifford wants 7 and Pearce has just extended along with talk that Morgan might now retire. Think he might be betwixt and between. He is a 7 so seems strange if we make him a 6 then move him back to 7.
I don’t see him as our future and I’m not saying Crossland or Sasagi are

Clifford dropped.

Should feel unlucky when he looks at the team sheet and notices that McLean and Hess maintain their spot in the 17. McLean must have a lot of dodgy evidence on people because a lot of coaches and pundits seem to love him. Biggest fraud in the NRL currently.

I’d rather Hess than McLean. Hess just comes across as the stereotypical footy meathead the way he plays but you can see he is actually trying (just consistently full of dumb plays and can’t hold the ball). McLean just coasts through without looking to break a sweat.

He was right about Ramien despite everyone including Toohey denying it at the start

Honestly not fussed if Clifford reneged on the deal. He hasn’t shown enough to warrant getting him here at all costs. Someone in our current team needs to otherwise stand up (next year if Green hangs up the boots), but I can’t see them doing much less than Clifford based on current form.

I think this story definitely has some legs, now Morgan is done the Cows can offer the No.7 jersey & a lot more money.
