Jackson Hastings

Also does has Gamble ever played any full back? If we were thinking of going a halves pairing of ponga and Hastings, would he have the speed and motor for it?
I feel like since he is a bit of a running 5/8 maybe he could have a bit a 2016 jack wighton about him. Very left field, just curious

i'm not concerned by the amount of clubs he's played for.

He is the best option that may be available to us. He has a lot of qualities that we desperately need. His leadership is the main one. He will make the other players accountable.

Signing Hastings is a no brainer for us given our situation. We then need to find a fullback
 
In an article dated 9 November, Tim Sheens is quoted as saying Hastings will be playing for the Tigers next year.

Everything hinges on getting a good to quality 7 only then would I consider Ponga to 6 and then we will be looking at Mann, Hodgson or Gagai at 1.
If no new 7 then it’s 1 Ponga, 6 Gamble, 7 Clune, 9 Brailey which in turn gives us Young, Mann, Best, Gagai 2-5

Says who? I see Hastings as a traditional halfback and gamble as a more eyes up footballer. Both good with communication. Gamble erratic whereas I see Hastings as a cooler head?

Fullbacks can't hide nor can they share the load with others as halves can in defence. Fullbacks are consistently one on one, in attack & defence.
Halfbacks are also somewhat of a protected species in attack.
I swear the that the jwh's of the world lick their lips when they see ponga running the ball back.
