The game wasn't already won when he was producing some nice kicks into corners rather than the boring bombs.....

In his presser KP did say Cogger was organising and telling him where he wanted to be.....

Just off the top of my head. All better performances.

I can’t believe I’m on the other side of this after initially looking on the bright side of the result on the basis that at least we put away a bad side rather than labouring to a 16-12 win, but that Souths mob played worse against us than anyone else has this year, and Cogger’s best moments came when they had long since given up.

Also I can’t believe he’s getting the wraps he is for his kicking game. Explain what was better in this game about handing the ball back to the other team on their 20 near the sideline with a meek chip kick, compared to all the other games where we’ve been doing it, other than it being a game we happened to win and our chasers were sometimes contesting said kicks?

We can only play what’s in front of us. That’s the most points we have put on all season. Look I hope we get Pezet, I will be surprised if Hastings is there next year. By all accounts the playing is not happy with him.

Let's break down that 68 Fantasy points and account for his 2 try scoring moments
2 tries = 16
1 line break assist (to Ponga) = 2 points
1 line break = 4 points
2 tackle breaks = 4 points
20m run = 2 points

So 28 points in one play. No doubt he had a good game but Fantasy points can always be misleading due to how valuable try scoring opportunities are in the scoring system.
 
Was third in points for Knights behind Gagai, 2tries and Ponga, 6/7 goals so he was going ok or others were going bad or like you say points awarded can be misleading
 
How do you judge the impact of an organising half?

Everyone has seemed happy with what Hastings has added as an organising half for the last few years, despite it being pretty hard to define what he did that had impact.

What did Cogs bring this week - the first time I think he was the genuine organiser?
Ponga said he liked having Cogs giving him directions, and Ponga had a pretty good game I thought, so that seemed to work.

Anyway, without knowing what Cogs was saying and doing during the game, I don't know how you can judge his impact, other than we had a pretty good game with Cogs running the show.

If we have two more good games and make the finals with Cogs calling the tunes, I'll think it's working for us.

There is also a possibility we don't sign a half and he is the 7 to start next year. So hopefully he improves.

Yes, hopefully he does improve if he is our best option next year.
Or Joey works with young Sutton and we fast track him as he has a much higher ceiling.
 
They really need to bring back Mic’d Up as a week-to-week segment for the fans. It’s great to see how the players really communicate and work on the field.
 
What Ponga said about Jack Cogger in the presser.

"Yeah, I'll give him a wrap.
I thought he controlled the game really well, and his partner in Pheon ran the footy, got to a kick, played a simple style footy, played his style, and that's what we wanted from our two halves, and that's what we got tonight.
Obviously a good lead into these next two weeks and these last two games."

What are you talking about? You judge a half the same way you would judge anyone on the field - by watching the game and their impact on it. (Rather than fantasy points...)

How anyone could watch last week and conclude 'it's Cogger what won it' will forever baffle me.

Surely they have to look at developing Sharpe at 5/6 during the off season?

They’re in desperate need of another spine player with speed. The lack of talent with the rest of those plonkers is one thing, but they’re complete lack of athleticism just as big of a problem.

Sharpe also seems to just have that game awareness, and anticipation to put himself in good spots. Having that combined with his speed in the halves would help significantly and automatically puts him ahead of all the other options.

Is Pezet better than what we have, currently Hastings, Cogger, Crosslands and Sutton, are we going to pay more for an equivalent player, has anyone been following Pezet, is he getting better or are we going to pay big bucks for basic half while continuing to pay big dollars for Hastings and Cogger for another season or two, I know in years term he has potential but so does Sutton and a few other Flegg age players.
Are we talking Pezet, currently injured?, up because we are desperate for change in the hope that it will be better
