I think he will look to move Levi on with Griffin and Watson to rotate.

But who knows. Either way Levi will not be happy.
 
Hopefully all the fees and stuff don't get too crazy. Massive gamble but if he is the best then hopefully he can be nrl standard. He would want to be miles better then cogs, lamb, John's to be worth the pennies.
 
I think the knights need to go with an attacking mentality. We can't defend for crapola. For that reason Levi needs to stay.
 
I'm not familiar with this guy, but as a general rule, ESL playmakers are no better than Qld cup or NSW cup playmakers.
The NRL is where the best of the best playmakers are to be found.
Lamb and Cogger, and maybe even Christian Hazard and Jack Johns, would go OK in the ESL.
 
The most interesting part of the article is we are looking for a world class partner for Pearce in the halves, and the time we really need one is when Pearce is not able to play for any reason, so they should be someone who can take over the kicking and organising.
The highlights reel for this guy shows him running a lot, but shows nothing of his kicking game, and only shows him passing the ball once or twice.
If he doesn't have a very good kicking game, we should save our money and stick with Watson.
 
Good luck to him if he comes out, but history suggests he will struggle. There hasn't been an English back since Brian Carney to have success over here
 
The teams he's running through in the video above must go to the same defence school we do. Fair dinkum it's not even reserve grade stuff.
 
If that's a highlights reel I'm not here. Hell I could dig through some of my vids doing the same stuff. I won't embarrass myself but. No wonder Houston looks good over there. Blends in with all the shirt grabbers.
 
He seems like Watson 2.0. Given the lack of depth in playmaking and kicking (kinda highlighted in Pearce's absence) it makes more sense to go for a dominant half with a strong kicking game. If he can satisfy the hard-on Brown for a running 5/8 then all the better.

No way should we be chasing another half without a great kicking game.

I think it has taken a long time for him to find his feet in NRL and not saying he is a world beater but Widdop has been a strong part of the Dragons improved performance and success in general over the past year or so, admittedly on the back of a generally dominant pack. Part of their slide has been the drop in form of their forwards from the limited highlights I've seen of late.

Widdop came to Australia before he got to learn all the bad esl habits.
 
Haven't heard anything that would get me excited by this news, but I don't think it's really news in that Knights won't pay Wigan a large transfer fee unless he is the next Andrew Johns so he isn't really an option anyway. Think it's more about getting an extension at Wigan

Billy , what about in another post where you said " if Kristian Woolfe got Jayleen to tackle he might be worth a look" , what about a double deal ? Wolfe and Jayleen - his player profile has him as five eight , half back , Full back has seen success here before and could be a cheap fix all round.

Feeney is about 6'1" and over 90kg. He is a very big half with genuine speed and footwork as well. He is everything you would want in a halfback, except he can't tackle and often has brainsnaps under pressure. If Woolf has taught him to defend, i'd have him back, but Brown probably wouldn't.
