George Vuna to make NYC Debut

At the Lower Grades games today, George was playing for the Roosters. He scored a good try too.

He also had the ball thrown at him about 3 times by the crowd after either a penalty or line drop out. His halfback already had the ball and he either threw the ball in play or kicked it to make time out.

You had to be there to see it but he was a mini Cooper Vuna in looks and cheek, everything!

Wonder how long its going to be until he's a Knight?

Roosters won, they play the winners of Raiders & Eels which is currently being played.

I don't see what's so obvious about it.

How well does he read plays ? did he ever rush up an in ? or did he just slide across and wait for the attackers to come to him ? what was he like under the high ball ?

Asking if he can catch the ball, isnt it obvious enough?

Do I look like a tape recorder to you? I cant remember and only watched him today!

BTW I thought you were going?

I didn't see the point in going, but yes I do live around the corner of that fantastic stadium.

I Told George there was a topic about him on here and he laughed. He prefers fullback when i asked him if he played like coops he said "Nah, im not as fast but im stronger"

He's set himself a goal of playing FG next year. Aussie i doubt we will ever see him as a Knight. Although family does play a huge role in the Polynesian community, saying that family would play a major part in any contract.

 Well Its worth a thread, he played well... blamed the ballboy though when really it was the crowd throwing the ball in play. Good luck to him next week!

Speaking of brothers, does anyone else reckon Kevin Naiqama will be as good as Wes in a couple of years? The Toyota Cup match against the Roosters, granted he made a few shocking errors, but I saw enough in attack to say he will be a first grader before too long. Really similar style player to his brother.
