how did gidley perform in the halves during the Johns era? i only remember one match up here in brisbane where he got the field goal to win the match ?2006?

From what I can remember back in the Johns era, Kurt was similar to Rogers in a fashion IMO. In other words, he was either rocks or diamonds with his game. I saw the article by Phil Rothfield saying that he has strong mail that Kurt will be wearing #7 for game 2.

Kimmorley might be gone imo. Only thing that can save him is if Bellamy doesnt want to many changes going into game 2.
Removing Kimmorley as halfback now would be a stupid decision for the selectors to make now. First off your bringing a new halfback (Pearce) into a losing team that absolutely needs to win, which come be performance undoing pressure.
Kimmorley should stay at 7 with Barrett at 6, Gids at 1, Ennis at 9, Gallen at 13 and J Morris on the right centre.
Gives the (Kimmorley,Ennis, Morris) (Barrett, Gallen) and (Creagh, Cooper,Morris) combinations to use.
