Game 2

First off thats only if there injured, and secondly its only are newspaper report so may not even be the final truth. Gidley should be at 5/8. Also, even tho Gidley may not play Hooker fulltime he is better in that position then every NSW hooker and most QLD hookers.

That I agree. But if Gidley's there, we need a half that has a decent kicking game. I'd prefer Kimmorley and Gids in the halves.

As for your halfback suggestions, Soward is a 5/8, Campese is a 5/8 and is hot and cold. Finch prolly couldnt handle the pressure and Walsh isnt that good, his best stat is the amount of tries off his kicks and thats got more to do with the centres and wingers then him. Any idiot can put up a bomb.
Obviously any idiot can put up a bomb, but who can put up a good quality bomb? One that spirals all over the place and gives their team mates enough time to get to it. Gidley? I haven't seen him do that yet. So what are you saying about Joey's skills?

Wallace is and always will be ****. Kimmorley looked lost out there most of the time.
Okay, I agree Wallace has lost a bit of form (when he literally lost one of his balls ) but he's been injured a lot since then. I'm prepared to give him another full season to see what he can do. Kimmorley looked lost because our 5/8 didn't do sh*t. Gids could take a lot of pressure of Kimmorley.

Obviously you know diddly f8ck about football then. Gidley was the best for us on Wednesday, the guy made 200 metres, played his guts out and with pride and passion for 80 minutes. The only one that played with passion for 80 minutes. And in the last 10 minutes that he played in 5/8, he put on 2 tries in quick succession and we started to dominate.

But hey lets keep hayne and shower him and give him what he want. Oh wait a second, wasnt hayne the one that came off his wing not once but twice gifting the queenslanders with 2 easy tries, wasnt he always the one that cost us a try by not throwing the ball properly.
That style works great in the NRL. But SOO needs a fullback that can finish off the plays better. Nathan Hindmarsh can produce the same stats but he doesn't have to be the fullback. Hindmarsh and Gids on the field for 80 minutes? If only...

Hey why stop there, im sure you wanna you wanna drop Cooper as well, even tho tahu was average and Cooper and Morris were forciable kept quiet by Kimmorley and Lyons inability and imcoptence to throw and play the ball to our strong left edge.
Cooper or Idris? Defend or attack? I still haven't decided yet. Maybe with Hayne at fullback, leave Cooper in. What about Jennings? Or have the Morris twins play together? Or better yet get a 5/8 that will actually pass the ball out wide to Brett Morris' wing (cause he will find the tryline).

WHat a joke. Do us a favour and take up gayfl so we dont need to hear any more of these silly suggestions.
I'd rather go jump in front of a train that do that

I'd prefer Pierce over Kimmorley, and along with taking Perry and Idris out for King and Gallen would be the only 3 changes i would make. They need to stop making 8 changes everytime we close. Otherwise we'll never get that comradary and familiarity with each other in the team. Kimmorley and Barrett are too old for origin and what more, they may both be retiring at the end of the year or at the latest next year, which means in a yr or so we'll be ****ing with the halves again. With Pierce and Gids as the halves combo win or lose if you stick with them you'll get them playing with each other well after a few games and they'll form a good partnership for 4 or 5 or 6 years.

Obviously any idiot can put up a bomb, but who can put up a good quality bomb? One that spirals all over the place and gives their team mates enough time to get to it. Gidley? I haven't seen him do that yet. So what are you saying about Joey's skills?

His bombs are boot it high into the air in the direction his aiming from between 10 and 20 metres out. Usually it takes several seconds for the ball to go up and down and those centres and wingers and cover that distance and make a jump in 2 or 3 seconds. Nothing special about it. It's saying nothing about Joey's skill, firstly cos i was aiming it at Walsh's skills and secondry cos Joey's skills were much more numerous then bomb kicks. Plus its not always a good thing or wise to be scoring off bombs. Hence Gidley really doesn't need to. AndPiecre can cover that for the occasional attempt.

Okay, I agree Wallace has lost a bit of form (when he literally lost one of his balls ) but he's been injured a lot since then. Wallace was never good. And he was definitely never good in origin. I wouldnt give him another season in Fg let alone SOO. Kimmorely needs to be replaced anyway with more creative talent and with an eye to the long term future of the Blues.

That style works great in the NRL. But SOO needs a fullback that can finish off the plays better. Nathan Hindmarsh can produce the same stats but he doesn't have to be the fullback. Hindmarsh and Gids on the field for 80 minutes? If only...

For all that mumbo jumbo he does, Hayne isnt all that better and attacking Fb then Gidley if not even with him. Gid was on the field was 80 minutes, he always has been as the starting FB. My point was in regards to the fact that he is the only one that was trying for the full 80 minutes.

Lets see, Cooper is the best defensive centre in the game and this year has been attacking great making many tries tackle breaks and line breaks. he also close to being in career best form. Idris has the occasional attacking brilliance and is defensively ****. He usually makes twice the missed tackles as he does tackles. As i would keep the left edge as Cooper and B. Morris (which is the best left omcbo in the game) and Gids at 5/8, the right edge would be Lyon and Tahu. If Jennings plays well the next two weeks and tahu doesnt, you may consierng playing Jennings on the right wing. Morris is a right centre, not a left centre which would mean replacing Lyons, and thats getting to point where your just changing the entire team. Lyons is playng better at the moment. Its one major reason we lost, Im sure the new halves playing would be able to do that. Play both sides and exploit our strenghts the oppotions weaknesses

I'd rather go jump in front of a train that do that

More the welcome to do that to

great players come back the week after origin and even if they lost they put on a great game for their club Hayne played **** tonight constantly out of position in defence and nothing in attack if he plays fb for nsw we lose by 40

How does making 8 changes to the team help
Well, we were pathetic on wednesday night. I'm not usually a fan of swapping and changing players, but the way we played in Game 1, we need some big changes. It was embarrassing. Our props are soft, especially Perry. He's hopeless. White hasn't played much footy at all this year. Weyman is an overrated Hack. The only prop who made alright metres was TLL.

We have 3 gun props in Snowden, Galloway and Douglas who can't even make Origin. Having these players will give us much more go forward which will allow our backs too get more ball.

I put Jennings in there purely for more speed in the backline. Started Lewis because he was our best for NSW. Brang Gallen in because he's easily the form lock in the competition. I had Bird off the bench because he can cover lock, backrow, 5/8 and we need him to give it to those Qlders!

I get why you put each of the in there, just evenutally you have to get to the point where they stop changing. They've done it every game for 4 years, meaning every game its a totally new team playing together, and everytime we lose. And it's the same excuse everytime as to why they change it. Maybe the fact that you havent got a team that has put 2 or 3 or 4 games together could be the problem. I wouldnt make any more then 3 changes, and thats cos Idris and perry have to go, and Cooper might be injured, otherwise only two. Eventually you have to do the imposssible and show some faith.

While NSW didn't play their best, I wouldn't call them pathetic. They only lost by 4.
The scoreline didn't reflect the game at all though imo. The only time we were the better team was in the last 10 minutes or so when Qld already had the game wrapped up.

Concidence that it was the same time that Gids was moved to 5/8?

What is a 5/8th these days ? anyone can do it and Pearce was in sublime form before the his injury

Tolman was a chance of being back this round Edit: Even if he isn't fit just have Douglas/Snowden/Ryles start and that way on the bench it's a fight between the other two

Gidley isn't a rep standard fullback

How is Lewis wasted in the second row ? if we had more depth at second row I'd actually slot Lewis in the centres, but alas I can't really think of a better second rower to accomplish this

All well and good saying that, but there are plenty of 1/2 or 5/8 that who good in there position, but **** in the other position. Mullen, Mortimer, Soward are all mine example.

Tolman is a lucky pick draw coming back from injury, he's probably better off being loooked at for game 3.

Lewis, i just dont think he is a starting SR or main play SR material, and he's past his prime backround position. He better off lock.

Theres plenty of second rowers that can play there, its probably the only thing we do have in terms of depth

In no particular order.

Watmough, Stewert, Waterhouse, Mason, O'Donnell, Laffranchi, Minichello, Heighington, Creagh, Young, (beau Scott even), Hindmarsh, Ryan.

Thats all i can think of. Lol

As for Gidley, he may not be a Rep standard Fullback, but he is a rep standard player, and he was our best on the field. I dont think he should be playing at FB only cos he is underused and there should be 5/8, with pierce as his halve

Anyone who says Gidley shouldnt be there is a fool

Hayne is ****, he has shown that by being **** in the ANZAC test Origin 1, tonight, and most of this year. i would only play him at FB, as to persist with the current team so they get a familiarity with each other and to avoid the masses chances that **** our team all the time.

Personally i would prefer Dugan over hayne. God i would even have Robertson or Mini instead of hayne. He is too overated and he has been hyped up so much from one good performance that if hes not there its a crime.

Dugan or Coote will be NSW future fullback, but still a bit young at the moment.

The biggest thing is, it doesn't matter who we select in the halves or fullback, if we don't get it right in the forward pack, we will not win ****.

If the props and backrowers don't make those metres then we are ****ed just like in game 1 and the past 4 years.

Lewis isn't wasted in the second row IMO, the only change I would maybe make there is Watmough into the second row for his fringe running and have Lewis at lock and just get him to sort of roam around in attack.

Gallen is a must, I don't give a **** what anyone says about the penalties and grubbiness, he should've been in the team from day one, the guy is good for 130m+ and 30 odd tackles.

The main thing is we need to get that forward pack nailed, the rest will fall into place once that pack is sorted and making the metres and tackles it should be making.

Yeah, im not saying that Dugan is ready, more so that the averageness hayne is showing your just as well off using of them.

Im not saying Lewis isnt good at Sr, just there are better choices for the respective positions and he plays better at lock.

Of course Gallen is a must he's avarage 33 tackles, 155 metres and 4 offloads a game for only 1 error and .5 penatlys per game. As much as people hate him for his massive error and penatly count, he has actually cleaned up his game this year. (watmough has actually made more then twice as many errors and penaltys then he has this year)

And he needs to be partnered by creagh was he is playing well and we need that left hand combo of creagh cooper morris. And for the halves to use it more. Lewis should be played at lock. he is a 80 minute player that can play lock and fill in at SR 5/8, centre and wing allowing us to have him start and not need another utility on the bench, especially considering creagh, gallen and farah are also 80 minute players.

Farah needs to play istead of Ennis, they as in good a form as each other and both playing well. Difference is farah is creative and inventive, ennis isnt. Its not wise at the same time to cut to many players. Weyman and TLL should stay, Perry and white cut. Bring in King and probably Snowden. Delegate watmough and waterhouse to the bench as impact players.

8 Weyman
9 Farah
10 King
11 Creagh
12 Gallen
13 Lewis
14 Watmough
15 TLL
16 Snowden
17 Waterhouse

with Gids and Pierce as the halves.

1. Hayne
2. B.Morris
3. Lyon
4. Tahu
5. J.Morris
6. Gidley (c)
7. Kimmorley
8. Galloway
9. Ennis
10. Snowden
11. Watmough
12. Creagh
13. Gallen

14. Idris
15. TLL
16. Lewis
