Hey guys,

I'm from BroncosHQ, the Brisbane Broncos forums, we have just been hacked within the last hour and the Cowboys forums got hacked yesterday or the day before. This is just a friendly warning for you guys to take whatever security precautions necessary to try to prevent this from happening.

Thanks, we did actually have this happen last week, but were luckily able to put a stop to it before any damage was done. Do you know how they got in yet?

They used an exploit in the Vbulletin software.

Yep, they created a bunch of weird usernames and made themselves admin. We've fixed up the problem now and we've patched the exploit so hopefully they can't have another go.
 
So did you just delete the install directory to fix that? That's what I've done.

Sounds like we were pretty fortunate Alicia spotted them before they did anything!
