Well we do seem to be coming home with a bit of a wet sail.
The next two weeks (especially next week, as it's away - like we will be in the finals) will tell us a lot.

given our 4 in a row Jinx we need to finnish 6th and lose our first game, then hope 7th and 8th lose
Or finish 6th and hope 7th and 8th win
, not sure we'd be able to finish 6th while losing next week, and again in rnd 26 though.

Melbourne and Brisbane are probably the two sides I'd like to avoid. I know Manly spanked us a few weeks ago but I still think we are a better shot against them that the other two.
Having said that I don't think we will finish higher than 8th. The Tigers have a very easy run in and I think the Warriors will pick up more points than us.

I cant believe how negative a lot of you are i hope the team doesnt read these posts by theyre supporters. Oh and could anyone tell me which 1 of the top teams scored 50 points against the titans who havent played well against anyone.. weve hit form. Come on people support the team dont tell them they cant win, because if they hear you saying it they wont win . I dont know if you remember but we have 2 championships and we werent supposed to be good enough to win those either but we did. Maybe its just me but i pick them in the tipping every week ...just cant not pick em lol.

Well, if we play like that and make a stupid decision to go for the try instead of kicking the goal when we were 2 points down and lose it on the first, then I don't like our chances!

I would still least like to play Melbourne they are miles ahead of us even with players out.
Both those championships, we had a bloke who was arguably the best there ever was, who do we have this year? Gidley who drops a sitter 5 out from his own line with no pressure, or takes the tap instead of equalising with 5 mins to go. Stig who thinks noone watches footy, and so he can try his step 10 metres infront of the defense everytime he gets the ball, or Mullen who let's face it, could lead anyone to victory with a good game, but has nowhere near the consistency of Johns.
I'm still hopeful of making it past the 1st round, but if we come up against Melbourne, or Broncos sending off Lockyer, we're screwed.

We still need to win two more too even make it, unless the Panthers/Bulldogs/Rabbitohs stop winning.
From here on, I can see us winning these games: Broncos (LOSS), Bulldogs (WIN), Rabbitohs (WIN/LOSS). Not sure about the Souths game, could go either way IMO, but on old boys day, with Maddog's last home game against former club with a packed out Ausgrid on Friday Night, i'm leaning towards us.
Such a dissapointing loss tonight though considering we were dominating and grinding them out until the 60th minute mark where we had a bad call or five go against us and everyone started making vital errors piggy backing them up the field. That was our best shot of sealing a finals berth for good and finally getting four in a row!

Yes Johns made the difference but what im getting at is that even with him we still werent supposed to be good enough ...but we won.In this game anything can happen i allways tell my son and our u 10 side i once watched a game at parra stadium cant remember who they were playing as alcohol then and time since have stolen that bit of the memory lol anyway parra down by 14 points 6 min to go and they score 3 trys kick 3 goals and win by a point anything can happen in this game. OH a try was worth 3 then lol.

I can't see us missing the finals with the position we are in. Only the Bulldogs and Rabbits could possibly take our spot. The Rabbitohs have to play the Cowboys with JT back, the Broncos at Suncorp, then us on Old Boys day which we rarely lose, and they have a terrible F/A so we can count them out. The Bulldogs also have a terrible F/A and they have to play Manly away then us, and if we beat them we will have all but secured our spot in the 8.
