Finals

His time here wasn't that bad, got us 1 win from the grand final plus knocking out the grand finalist from the year before if anything he overachieved in his time here. Even Bennett said just doesn't know what team gets off the bus. Mullen played he best footy ive seen in seasons under him.
The Tinker situation not paying people and sending messages to people didnt help. Who would want to part of that?

If Bennett came back i reckon he would achieve soo much more now with this club now that alot has changed.

I got over the Bennett hate a few years ago. It is just a game at the end of the day, the bloke is a smart operator & clearly the players love him as a person. His record speaks for itself, premierships in Brisbane, St. George Illawarra, grand final with Souths, Canberra. Even got us a game off one, which is crazy, Newcastle is a bit of a poisoned chalice at the moment.

He was brought in with the idea he’d be a shortcut to winning a comp, our recruitment guys loaded up on old guys to try and win straight away, and he got one good run at the end of a season out of that group, which is about what you’d expect. It wasn’t his fault, he did what was asked.

Turns out there are no shortcuts though.

If there’s one thing we can dislike about him, it’s that he never wanted to come to Newy, and only did it for the money. Which makes him not the right coach for us. But that’s on the people who paid him.

Whatever criticisms you might have of Adzy, he feels more like the right KIND of guy for us than any coach we’ve had since maybe Mal.

I think he was genuinely excited by Tinkler's vision for the club, but it would have been pretty obvious pretty quickly that there was no substance to what he was sold.

C'mon Penrith!

If there needs to be a rule change, it has to be that if a trainer calls for the game to be stopped for the welfare of a player, that player has to leave the field.

True, I did enjoy seeing it done to Penrith after they killed the Eels momentum doing that same thing last week though haha.

Amazing half, this feels like it should have been the GF.

The players are spent, who knows what's going to happen in the second half, the pace is insane.

Yeah these are definitely the two best sides in the comp this year, but someone is going to be forgotten.

Watch munster get charged now. Where I doubt he would have been if Melbourne won the game.
For the high shot on Luai?
If its that one,
They didn't even give a penalty, I doubt they can charge him.

Imo it should have been a penalty, possible sin bin going by previous games this year.

No way it was a sin bin, but it should have been a penalty. I don't think the match review committee has anything to look at form that match though.

Big match coming up next week ... if Penrith lose, is Ivan Cleary the next Brian Smith? Bennett will have Souths up for the occasion for sure.

At the time I thought Luai was just exhausted more than concussed or affected by the Munster shot.

How is that one not penalised and put on report, but the Clearly back slam is on report? One is a nothing incident and just a solid tackle, the other a clear high shot.

But, in the end the game was settled by the players, and the MRC can sort out what they want to do after the game. Can't see cleary getting charged.
