Our key is stopping Keon from marching up the field for 15 minute hit ups, and then containing Duncan and Murray.

And again, I can't see how people are confident with us getting 25-30 metre sets with their sets being 50-60 metres in comparision.

Hopefully it turns into a shoot out between outside backs, our only chance really.

I guess it’s because metres doesn’t always have to equal points, we have been out gunned by many forward packs and yet they are out of the finals and we are left standing even with the injuries.

They aren’t Penrith that never seem to lose the ball, if we can strangle them and frustrate than that’s when crazy passes come out and we can capitalise.

Though we absolutely must make every little opportunity count and complete high.

At our best this year, our forwards hardly take hit ups. Greg/Dom/Braddy/Gags do the first 3. Shift on 3rd then shift on 4th and we kick from close to halfway.

I am confident because Souths defence is bad and lazy and we have proved all year we will expose bad defences. Also Ponga is the best player on either side so advantage us!
 
Seeing talk about Souths for the GF really is insane. I legitimately don't know where it's coming from. They're about the 4th best side in the final series, and 6th if we're talking about teams at their best (us without injuries, Roosters in their best form). I do think the comp is quite open this year and anyone could go on a run but Souths are about 5th placed favourites for a reason.

This new beginning under Coach Holbrook, and the arrival of Dylan Brown, gave new hope to their ever-loyal, passionate fan base of Novocastrians showing shades of brilliance in the opening Round in Vegas. But nothing comes easy. Opening round injuries to the electric Fletcher Sharpe and Dylan Brown threatened to curtail their season before it started. And the injuries kept coming. And coming. And coming. But here they are, last season’s wooden spooners - in September - ready play finals. Talk about Grit. This season isn’t over yet.


Inspire. Inspiration comes in many shapes and sizes, but it provides hope, and lifts others to new levels. Look no further than the Captain, Kalyn Ponga. Dazzling footwork, creative ball playing and fist pumps for every occasion. Kalyn rides the waves- he commiserates the defeats, and celebrates the victories big or small. He’s not alone, Phoenix Crossland inspires those around him with his tenacious and unrelenting efforts, something one Danny Buderus would be proud of. And who can forget the new kid on the block - Fletcher Sharpe - fast, exciting, inspiring.

Win. A winning mindset is everything. These Knights know they can win, they know their potential.
