Ex-Knights Watch

To be fair injuries robbed brailey of his prime
Oh 100%

He also walked away from sharing the #9 at Cronulla as he wanted to play the full 80, or at least it seemed that way at the time. Perhaps his body wasn't as up to the long minutes as he hoped.

Yeah by virtue Blayke just stayed healthy in those earlier years. Jayden can still have a career at the right price. A bit of a blessing that he ended up being a bit overpaid here which resulted in not being re-signed
Makes you take for granted being able to keep Crossland on for cheaper over the time who earned himself a starting spot and worked on his skill set and a few things that made him pickable each week.

He was 36 and past his expiration date by a few years. Had returned from England and moved back to Newcastle to retire most likely, but the Knights were desperate for any experienced players they could find and gave him a deal at the last minute. Don't think there was any expectations of him making a difference on the field. His son now plays Harold Matts for us and had a pretty good season.

What was the story with Anthony Tupou?
How come he only played 4 games here?
He was a huge 120kg prop in Flegg who used to win games with 20 barnstorming minutes.

He was poached by roosters and they trained him so hard he dropped 20kg and became an instant firstgrader for them.

The next brother down also left the Knights, but suffered bad injuries and came back to play a bit in reserves before retiring with a neck injury I think.

Third brother Jon played lock forward in Flegg alongside Snowden, Uate, Dureau, Patterson, Seu seu.

4th Brother Ben never got past Flegg, but he was the biggest of the four and looked like being the best.

Back to Anthony - had a million injuries when he came back for one season at the Knights, but he was a massive trainer, so many learnt a lot from him. You see him about town now and he's hard to recognise - looks super fit and about 80kg - looks like he could run Marathons. His son is a tall, athletic fullback in Mathews.

Jye Linnane scored 2 more tries today (Warriors Reserves)
That's 10 tries in 10 games as a centre.
I don't know how we'd find a spot for him, but he's the closest thing to a Fletcher Sharpe clone going around.
Warriors are wasting a natural 5/8 in the centres.
