I actually think rep jerseys should be reserved for players committed to the game. I just think those jerseys are a privilege and you can always find someone else who is committed to the game to play.

Funny how no other winger for Penrith or other teams haven’t scored these “catch and score” tries, scoring at a rate so stupid no one has done it since Brown, I guess if it was that easy anyone could do it especially in the elite teams of the past like all of them? Roosters, Storm, St George back when they won 11, And so on…

I don’t get the hate behind Jenkins I feel like a lot has to do with absolutely nothing, a lot here tend to hate players that come here and leave, I’d understand if their was a genuine reasons I.e playing/played bad and so on, like a Leo Thompson or if they crap on the club, but Jenkins came here, tried got dropped and left, I don’t really see the reason to hate him so much.

Now many will find reasons to justify hating him because well so many people nowadays can’t just take ownership and admit they don’t like someone just because they don’t like them, and feel the need to try and justify it, to act like it is more than just sour grapes.

But I do feel a lot of it is sour grapes that he is playing out of his mind for another team, and to that I say get over yourselves, he did nothing wrong, and the people seemingly praying for his downfall really need to take up a hobby.

Many on here are singing KPP praises and Simi’s rise but hate Jenkins?

The hate is going to be insane if he scores against us, especially since it will mean he beats Young who is extremely loved here.

Young is actually a perfect example, was here and was loved, left and was hated to the point people here gave him the “Voldemort” nick name, laughed at every miss try and every loss, and now he is back and is loved again, fans can be extremely fickle.

Not aimed at you directly R_A but just the general hate by people on here for Jenkins

Actually agree with this, after the Kiwis have lost players with things like Taumalolo going to Tonga, RTS going to rugby union the year of a World Cup, when current Kiwi captain!, SBW’s on and off commitment back in the day which kicked Tohu Harris out of a World Cup squad …

Maybe not quite the same situation in this case, but these things can really chip away and erode a rep team’s culture. And NSW arguably isn’t the best already on that front.

Yeah good luck to him, would love to see him get a chance and perform well. Would be an amazing turnaround for him! Just one of those signings which never quite worked out, much like Dom to the Roosters.

Not sure it’s even about commitment for me I just think it’s a bad look. Thought the same in 2024 about Suallii playing origin over a host of other options. I actually like Union as well, I just think that if you are going to be privileged enough to wear a rep jersey it is my belief you shouldn’t be signed on to a different sport. Just my personal taste.

Yeah I’m not knocking anyone for their thoughts on him either, his terrible attitude at the Knights was well known and reflecting on it he knew it himself.

I guess that’s what pisses fans off the most. We’ve had mediocre players here before who we don’t berate because they had a dig.

Then you have fan favourite guys who had way more talent like Boyd but their effort was pretty **** poor as a marquee signing.

But the tape here can’t be ignored he never really bent the line or was a game breaker here. You can even argue it’s a similar case at Penrith.

Kudos to Cleary for squeezing out every last drop out of him though while they can afford him.

I think it’s just one of those things where we make up our mind and thats it. But of course if he doesn’t maintain and keep up expectations the knives will grout just as quick.

Always thought Sualili was ridiculously overrated personally, I’m guessing injuries to others helped there?
Roosters absolutely made the right choice keeping Tedesco over him when he thought he was next in line at fullback. And even his defence got exposed for most of his time during league

He’s definitely more made for Union and probably helps he doesn’t have to tackle as much either
 
I think Jenkins left Penrith for an opportunity but then realised Knights, and AOB, wasn’t quite Panthers and Ivan as well as his mates, his heart wasn’t in it here
