He isn't a traditional half - or a traditional anything - but tall, fast, decent defender, big boot and a decent motor - someone had to work out how to use him eventually. No one at the Knights could ever work out what to do with him.

The fact he picked up the injury about 4 months into the preseason probably rids us of any blame too.Dogs complaining that Thompson turned up a bit unfit is somehow brilliant.
If Thompson was underdone, thats on him, and maybe our old head coach which is oh yeah, working as assistant at the Dogs.

I notice Jack Thompson is on the extended bench for the Warriors firstgrade and starting halfback for Warriors reserves, but jye Linnane isn't picked.
I think Jack is a year or 2 younger than Jye. I think he was playing AJ cup when Jye was in Mathews for us - although I think they might have had a few games in the same side at one point.
Anyway, I hope Jye isn't injured again, or if he is, it isn't a 3rd ACL.
