Ex-Knights Watch

Todays Tele, David Riccio, bargain battlers, Sharks:-
Blake Brailey $550k, Will Kennedy $550k, KL Iro $280k, Brandon Trindall $400k, Billy Burns $200k,
Jesse Colquhoun $200k.
My calculation, 6 players $2,180,000, ave tad over $350k.
Assume he is close to the mark with his figures

To get any of those players to Newcastle (besides Kennedy), you would have to pay at least 50% more and some you’d have to double their salaries.

Hastings might have a new attitude now that he is a father.
He is worth a punt for a new side for a fraction of what we paid him.

Green wont last at the Cowboys

Payten is gone if it doesn’t work out next year

New coach will move him on
long term deal is a smart move from Green tho, Payton gets moved on, Green gets a shot at taking the top job... if he doesn't get it he gets released and a decent little payout and probably just landing as an assistant again

Gee, they sound like a well ran club 😳

No wonder they can’t win a game, when the leaders are that amateur.

Pretty tough to hear that really.
I know I’m a few days behind here but I’ve heard this from some other players both current and previous. Culture is awful and disjointed and don’t think it was entirely AOB so to look at this and say it will be changing with new coach etc is hopeful but the “establishment” are still there in some form and have to take responsibility too! We appeared to be a club ran by the guys above. CEOs, recruiter, silent men, even agents (no not just Moses!!!).
I hope what happened to Milky can be a reflection on how we did things wrong and look forward to doing things right in 2026.

Preston Conn, the Jersey Flegg player of the year and captain of premiership winning Melbourne Storm side, is a Newcastle Wests junior and grew up closer to our ground than anyone in our squad.
He played Johns, Mathews and Daley cup for the Knights.

How's this make sense from an eels perspective??? wouldn't play brown all year because he was leaving but they are signing Pezet (who IMO isn't of Browns quality) for one year knowing he will leave
Parra can't seem to win without Moses.
I think Pezet is the Temu version of Moses, so should be able to keep the team on track in the absence of Moses.
