Ex-Knights Watch

He’s looked quite good stepping in for Reyno already to this point. They play a pretty off the cuff style not dependent on particularly complex shape so as long as he’s getting them to finish sets where he says and he’s kicking well he should do fine.

Even they lost I still think Broncos are one of the few teams not named Penrith that can win the comp but they will need Madden to really step up.

I see a few people are tipping Mitch Barnett for NSW.
Doubt it, but would be good to see if it happens.
NSW only really has one prop locked in being Haas.

IMO the backrow picks itself - Yeo at lock with any combination of Gus Crichton, Liam Martin and Haumole Olakau'atu starting and one remaining on the bench.

There's a handful of inconsistent performers sitting below that vying for positions in the prop rotation, based on club form Barnett has as good a claim as any. My one concern about Barnett at Origin level is aptly described by a quote that I'm pretty sure you once made Billy (apologies if it wasn't you) - something to the effect of "Barnett's mind writes cheques that his body can't cash".

For all intents and purposes Barnett is an out and out prop despite our insistence in playing him in the backrow during his time here, the Warriors correctly identified that and his form has increased accordingly - also assisted by the trend of the game towards smaller, more mobile middles to defeat that issue of being a prop stuck in a backrower body as described by that quote.

I would be concerned that in Origin, his lack of size and explosiveness reduces his abililty to translate that club form to rep level when dealing with a quality pack of QLD middles - but as I said earlier, based on club form he has as solid a claim as anyone outside Haas so I wouldn't be dissappointed to see him selected, has probably edged his way into my personal team at the moment.

His older brother who they apparently paid a lot more than a usual NSW Cup/development player only lasted the first 3 rounds in reserve grade and has been playing Ron Massey Cup ever since.
Yeah I think everyone knew that was a token signing to make Dom happy. It's hard enough for Super League players to make it here, let alone a guy who's mid-20s that's only ever played second grade in England.

Grant Anderson getting a run at 5/8 after Munster is injured.
Commentators say he's only a winger.
He always played either fullback or 5/8 for us in the juniors.
He pushed Tex Hoy out of fullback in Flegg he was going so good.
