EPL Season 2025/6

If the knights were to win the GF this year we’d all suddenly become humble?

Personally I think Arsenal got lucky with most teams either in transition or just not themselves, it’s like then Liverpool won it, many said it wasn’t luck and they were just that good but the following year…

Now congrats to arsenal im sure it will be spoken about by many a Arsenal fan because others would be trying to mind wipe the season after watching the most boring game plan ever seen in the game, and even still City did push them to the end whilst also in transition

I don’t see them going back to back, problem with winning and doing so with one boring tactic is people study you like hell in the off season, they will be forced to change next year and I don’t think they can.

Arsenal won the English Premier League this season. End of story. I have watched most Arsenal games this season, over a long season, and also saw them doing famously well in the 3 other major competitions. They are in the final of the European Champions League against PSG at the end of the month.
It is testament to Arsenal’s greatness as a top line soccer team that they have survived after such a gruelling 25/26 season, and still be standing for the opportunity to win 2 of the 4 big titles.
There will be at least 2 additions to the Arsenal team which will run around again next season. Arteta is a great manager and will no doubt roll out a bigger and better Arsenal next season.

Your posts didn’t hurt my eyes. Happy for you, my rant was about the dozens of moronic Arsenal fans that I sadly call friends. I begrudgingly congratulated them and then cut my lips and pulled my finger nails off in shame.

I truly don’t know who we would go after and direct our gloating at….? There certainly wouldn’t be bottles with the Knights logo on them. I just couldn’t see the Knights fan base having a “**** you all” mentality after winning a GF. I envisage elation and some over the top partying and celebrating.

Yep. This is the reality of the season. To be fair, Chelsea, City and Utd no doubt had seasons when others were in transition. The best battles Fergie vs Wenger, Fergie vs Mourinho & Klopp vs Pep.

Nice to see Henderson get the reception he did. Similarly for Mo and Robbo - great send off.

Lacklustre year. Club went through a lot. Lots of change. The loss of Jota and injection of lots of new players that failed to click.

Probably seen as a disappointing year, similar with Man Utd. Not bad that a disappointing year results in UCL (5 spots helps).
If I’m honest, it feels like a failure. We spent big and most flopped. (Is this what it feels like Chelsea?…I jest).

Congrats to Arsenal, been up there the last few years. Always like when I think a manager has lifted their team to a new level - think Arteta has worked away and got his rewards.

Think we need to find a way to gel as a team. Hell, I just want us to play some exciting football again. Klopp ball was a joy to watch. Rio looks like he will be a star in a few years. VVD is getting old now. Sadly, need to starting transitioning to a new look and new style.

Very interested to see how City go without Pep. Bloke has been blessed with some brilliant teams as a coach. Curious to see how much was coach, and how much was personnel and $$.

Thanks Mo, thanks Robbo - tremendous memories over the years. Few trophies to remember some great football.

I thought Alonso would have been a great fit for us.
Did some great things with Leverkusen, probably didn’t get much support at Madrid. And was due to get a gig in EPL.

His history with Liverpool and in general as a player, would generate the respect required of a manager to manage a club like Liverpool, IMO.

I feel like our destiny of finishing 4th or 5th, possibly 6th, was sealed weeks ago. So I’m curious on the timing of this decision.

I think Salah’s defiance and public comments probably was a nail in the coffin, I think it’s a slippery slope with squad confidence.

I fear that there’s not really any clear candidates.
Iraola from Bournemouth the front runner apparently.

Yeah, I’ve heard that the hierarchy want to adopt more of an attacking high intensity style which points to Iraola and that they thought Alonso’s style was a bit too structured/possession based which is why they never went in for him.

I hope they act fast to get in the new manager and make a few transfers before the World Cup starts. We can’t be repeating the Guehi fiasco.
