I could be wrong as it was a long time ago but i'm sure i read somewhere that any transfer fee did come out of the cap but as i said it was a long time ago and they could have changed the rules by now .
Or i could be wrong .
 
There's the issue with young English players coming out perhaps before they are ready, the Raiders have relesed Harry Rushton to return to England
 
England just named their "England Knights" squad (just an England 'A' team), both Pryce and KPP played in this side v Jamaica last year but only Pryce has been named in the extended squad this time.

KPP is well ahead of a lot of the backrowers on the list so if I were to engage in pure speculation I would say this means 1 of 2 things.

1. KPP is in plans to make the actual 24-man WC Squad - somewhat unlikely but plausible, Wane is a Wigan man known for having a bias toward Wigan players and KPP's ability to play both backrow and centre could make him a handy squad member. Can't see him being in the first 17 yet though.

2. These England Knights games are on the 1st and the 8th of October, after the season but before the WC. KPP might have indicated he will head straight to Australia post-season/wouldn't like to risk injury playing for the 'A' team and jeopardise his first NRL pre-season.

Again, entirely speculation on my behalf but if either turns out to be true it'll be good news for us.
 
Wigan Warriors v St Helen’s is on tomorrow morning at 4:30am on Foxtel if anyone is keen to hit record… or wake up early.

KPP and French are both playing so it’s a chance to have a look at how they’re going…

They have already played. Pryce has been suspended for majority of the season with a 10 week ban earlier in the season and he just finished up a 2 week ban, the coach said he was happy about the halves performances while Pryce was suspended so he won’t walk straight back into the team… I’d expect Pryce to be slotted back into the team before the finals as if they are going to win it all this year they need him in the side.
 
He wouldn’t have gotten 10 weeks in the NRL for what he did. Their judiciary is stricter. I don’t know what the 2 week one is for.

I think either way, Pryce is a punt on upside the club is looking to take, he’s coming over for an opportunity, not a guaranteed starting jersey and big paycheck.

KPP though I think will be like Dom, won’t take long to be a regular in the team.

The 2 weeks was for a trip, so nothing serious, most likely a $1000 fine in the NRL…
 
Sorry but 10 + 2, reduce it however you want it is two send offs/suspensions in a season totalling 12 weeks and trip may have been minor but please elaborate on the 10 , and the 2 weeks trip, nothing serious, but on top of the 10 comes as a serious offender, happy to hear the excuses. This is one of our 2 top Poms that will get us out of the mess we are in

Ok they, both, might not be here in 2023 but if coming 2024 let’s have it signed, sealed and delivered otherwise it will drag on, hopes up but destined to crash due to other interests.Don’t like maybe, prefer yes or no
