Yeah I couldn’t see is winning that even with Bedsy, the Chooks were red hot that year. The scoreline probably would’ve been more flattering though.

Add Snowden and a fit Gidley could’ve made a difference though.
 
JWH just came back from a raised forearm suspension and literally did the exact same thing to Bedsy and got off scot-free. Half the stadium, including myself, collectively lost their sh*t
 

As much as I didn't like to see it, JWH's arm is pretty much against his body at the point of impact and he pushes up with the arm after the connection...but it was a push, not a cocked elbow for mine - Bedsy was all heart but his technique let him down more than anything in this
 
After the connection, the forearm was raised looking like there was upward momentum before impact. I remember him smirking after it having a joke on the field while Bedsy was coming off in a stretcher.

28 seconds in look at where his elbow is... Doesn't sit well with me at all.
 
There was nothing in it from Hargraves. Bedsy just got his head in the wrong spot and got walloped.

It was good tough running from JWH.
 
Yea you can’t blame JWH for that run. Big man against little man who used a bad technique in that tackle. Was only ever going to be one outcome from it.
