EAS was more than a feeling

Well for a start the Knights are a franchise of the NRL and the Jets are owned by that Con bloke. So If the two teams where to merge then who would own them. I would definatley not want the Knights being owned by The con bloke he is a ****** and I can't see the NRL wanting anything to do with the Jets. Thats just one problem. It is not simple as one town two teams both are completly separte entities and to join them would be one huge legisical thing. What about the board members, ceo's, sponsers, etc etc.

correct me if im wong but didnt the sharks use to run a team in the old NSL, sydney Olympic or something??.

i just checked on wiki and it doesnt say anything about cronulla owning them, but Olympic did play out of toyota park and did change their names to the sharks, so maybe their was some relationship.

The Knights played way to many night fixtures last year, & most games were played in rain, aswell as the Johns retirement (:

I see the Knights attracting huge crowds this year, 20,000+ against Manly, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Parramatta, Melbourne

& if we win more games at home, then lose then it will be a successful year :)

Look at the Jets, they have played 12 games at home this season that included sunday's game:

3 sunday afternoons & 2 twligh sunday games, 1 saturday night & 1 saturday twlight & 5 friday nights

I mean I'd rather play by the Jets scedule then the Knights crap scedule of:

3 sunday afternoons, 1 sunday night, 2 monday nights, 3 friday nights & 3 saturday nights

But far from viewing the Jets as a rival, Knights boss Steve Burraston insists their success is a positive for the town and his club.

Id Just leave it that.

And im not a big fan of merging two different sports clubs..

man u really do have a thing with sceduling

Surely do, I hate the Idea of Monday night games & because I like day games more yeah its hard as a passionate fan, that why I love the JETS!!!!

I hate all this "us vs them" BS that the leaguies and the football fans go on about.

To be honest, I've only heard this Con guy going on about it, that and the Daily Telegraph running down the Knights (and league) again.

Thats y my dad neva buys the telegraph, he rekons murdoch ruined rugby league, my dad hardly even supports the NRL anymore. BTW he grew up in the same place as mitchell sargent, conowindra. Its a very small town but they do have a nice bakery cafe thingo.

Unfortunately, my Mum buys the telegraph so I just usually grab the sports section. I read it mainly for the news, not their more often than not stupid opinions.

DT's the crapest paper around... at school, the last 3 years, i got the SMH everyday, it was only $60 a year, so it was cheap too.

I've seen it about the place as well.

And sadly, Murdoch has his dirty fingers in both pots (NRL, and Foxtel, which airs both A-League and NRL).

I got the SMH at school as well. I always had something to read at roll call.

I suppose you can't really trust any one media out to tell you straight - they all have an agenda, which is a shame.

It saddens me to say it but without Darth Murdoch, RL over here would be in a much worse state than it is already. The same goes for most sports. His empire has put billions into sport, esp. football.

SuperLeague sides that ground share include:

Rugby League and Football Wigan (Warriors RL + Athletic AFC), Huddersfield (Giants RL + Town AFC), and Hull (FC - both RL + football)

Rugby League + Rugby Union (:-& ) Harlequins and Leeds.

When the seasons overlap, there's always some complaining about the state of the pitch from one side or the other. Esp around now when there's still a good chance of bad weather.
