Darius Boyd to follow Bennett to Knights

4. Boyd

With Bennett coaching that is a premiership backline
 
Heres a roughie , unlikely boyd will be coming Bennett wont encourage boyd if he likes playing fullback at the dragons

Josh morris may be a knight in 2013

and Brett may follow , thats if the rumour are true about Boyd not liking newcastle
 
Bennett will be the coach, its very unlikely you will see Boyd in the centres,.

If the rumours are true about Boyd not liking newcastle, who else would be a better combo under Bennett then the morris brothers

the knights centres arent strong and defence will be the big part Bennett will work on at the knights
 
I mentioned in the other thread that Boyd has said he would like to to back to Queensland (eventually). Personally, I don't think we need another back, I hope we don't sign him.
 
Gosh this is overwhelming.

For me the centres are a no-brainer, MacDougall is retiring, Idris is gone to the Titans, Likiliki is nowhere near ready & the others are all fringeys like Lulia, Wes etc.

I would hate to see him at 6. At this point in time, that is unnatural to him, plus we have Henry, who i want to see alot of in the coming few years.
 
I reckon he has to be fullback IMO, that is where Bennett has got the best out of him, Gidley to hooker.

He played 5/8th in a weakened Dragons team versing a full strength Souths team in the charity shield game and they put 40 points on them if that is any indication.
 
Mullen/Henry are the halves future and Gids deserves to play at fullback. Don't forget we'll have our pick of players wanting to play under Bennett. We don't have to take Boyd if we don't want him. Bennett might prefer someone else.

I think Ben is still contracted to the SeaEagles even though he is playing over in England/France. Worked with his brother. Obviously Manly sent him over because there was no room in the side for him. But in a year or two positions will open up.
 
I have information from a roosters source, that mini has been asked to look elsewhere for next year, and is looking overseas to make space for darius boyd, from what i understand the contract isnt signed but its pretty much a done deal. Main reason for moving being boyd and pearce are best mates.
Dont believe me, just passing on information.

I agree with this. Sau struggles with the idea of throwing a pass so keep him on 1 side and boyd and uate on the other.

Looks like every fullback is going to be linked to the Roosters this year. But Ive also heard about Mini so itll be interesting to see what happens. Unlikely will be Boyd though lol
