Williams back from suspension for Clacherty (Coops goes back to the wing) and Marlborough back for Simon Allen are the two changes.

They both make it a much stronger side.

Windsor have only won one game, so we will probaly go pretty well with our strongest side of the season.

Yeah good to see O'Donnell & Tetevano back from injury too. We may need them for first-grade soon. Likiliki i think comes back next week aswell so all good at this point.

Who is Scott Briggs?

Have you seen much of him Roopy?
Aboriginal kid from Bolton Point who was an amazing junior for us, and at different times he was trialled by Canberra and Cronulla and someone else I think, but he could never keep out of trouble and I think was dropped by four NRL sides before he was 20 (including us).
He has been playing well in the real NRL for the last few seasons - when Steve Burraston coached Macquarie in about 2007 I think the Briggs brothers (Scott and Jacob) were his gun players and had Macquarie looking good (when he could get them to train). He played some reserve grade for us in 2008.

Rip Taylor has done a great job with Scotty Briggs. His game against the Vulcans was amazing. He put on some massive hits that jarred the ball loose (he has always been a weak defender), and some of the moves he pulled as a playmaker were magical - the same sort of moves that had him being called the new Joey as a junior.
I think he would be 22 or 23, and you can finally see him reaching his potential this year. Stig is getting all the wraps, but Scotty looks just as good to me.

Aku and Scotty Briggs playing reserve grade for the Knights in 2008 or 2009.
Scotty looks much fitter now.

If you look at the highlights pakage in post 60 of this thread you can see Scotty set up tries will great passes at 2.13 and 3.00.

Cheers for that run down mate.

He sounds the goods, will have to keep a look out for him!

When I saw him in the trials I thought Rip was having a laugh, but no one turns troubled players around like Rip, and I think he has done it with Scott, who looks really good to me.
Mind you, if Scott sticks to his usual form of the last 6 or 7 years he will not show up for training or a game within a few weeks.

Nice highlights of the Centurions v Manly game available.

The highlights for me were a tackle made by Pete where he stopped a guy who looked like he was all but in, and a run By Pete where he threw off a guy and made another good run. Also the try by Zane was either lucky or good soccer skills.

Game has been postponed till tomorrow.
There should be an internet radio broadcast of the game on hawkesbury radio - very Windsor centric no doubt.

I couldn't get the internet broadcast to happen - might not have been on (the broadcast).

according to twitter it was a 20 all draw

Simon Williams got 2 to celebrate the end of his two match suspension.

I think he is our top try scorer with 5 from 6 games, ahead of Kev with 4 from 8 games.

Tries: S Williams 2, C Marlborough, C Mika
Conversions: P Matautia 2

Strong side this week.
Filipo comes back after being 18th man for firstgrade for the last two weeks and Likiliki comes back into the centres.
Every player in the starting side and most of the bench could play firstgrade next week if we needed them IMO.
It was a dissappointing result last week.
I hope they do better this week with their strongest possible line up.

There will be an internet radio broadcast of this game from 3 pm tomorrow.
Link can be found in the gameday thread on the nswrl.com site.

In other news, Windsor, the side that gave us an unexpectedly good game last week, has beaten comp leaders Vulcans this morning, so our form isn't as bad as it looked.

Mika's having a good little period of form atm, looks like the Centurions are gonna blow Wenty off the park at this point of the game.

48-16 win.
Fantastic hit out for most of the team.

Pete - dropped a pass near our line, but apart from that he seemed to be on fire, especially early. 2 tries and some good breaks.
Lulia - some quality touches, but not as involved as he could have been
Likiliki - punishing in attack and defence in the first half especially
Williams - some great runs - scored a try and set up 2
Naiquama - busy in the first half and scored a try by backing up Williams
Briggs - I suspect he was a problem in defence, but his schemeing best in attack
Stig - ran the side like he never did in the juniors - he has learnt a lot in the last few years.
Tets - got mentioned a few times in the first half, but i think the commentators didn't call the hard yards, so props barely got a mention
Marls - hardly got called till the end, when they commented on how good his service was all game. Played 80 minutes and i'll bet he topped the tackle count.
Tuafua - hardly got called, but that doesn't mean much
Mika - fantastic game, did everything from line breaks, off loads and massive tackles
O'Donnell - didn't get much game time, but played hard when he was on. Didn't hear him drop the ball.
Southern - did some good stuff

Sinbad - some huge runs and tackles
Schillo - only heard him called once
Filipo - not on for long - had a few good runs
Fata - only heard him called once.
