Centenary Test: Australia v New Zealand @ The SCG

Do you have players you would have picked ahead of them? Leuluai has been going well in the Superlague, and Webb is a first choice for the Kiwis every time (and one of the few survivors from the Tri Nations victory). They are first choice, doesn't mean they are the greatest players on the face of the earth.

If your point is to say that NZ aren't as good as Aus then no-one in the world would disagree with it. If you are just trying to show off that point then keep at it, I'm not replying again.

Honestly had they had more time to get over flights etc i think they would have played much better, there will be people saying that they should not have been picked due to them playing in england and that new zealand should have picked maybe there second choice players in there respective positions however what an honour it would have been to play in the centenary game and i think new zealand selectors decided to give the honour to there first choice players.
If were gonna have tests and fly people from england over to play we should look at maybe a best of three games but then the debate about player over load arises!
Newzealand played even with australia except for the first half an hour or so and i think in the world cup newzealand could be a huge threat with more preparation and time....

I just wish Gidley got more minutes. Other than that, the win was expected I suppose. Unlucky for New Zealand, they were better in the second half.
Gidley should be right for the Storm game.

Just to answer you question, yes I do.

1. Perret
2. Vuna
7. Luke
9. Halatau

Might have been better options, then they wouldn't have needed to worry about bringing over some players from England.

He would've but he isn't exactly fit, and I'm sure Kearney would want him for world cup rather than getting injured in a mid-season test.

Edit: Also thought Kenny-Dowall was a little unlucky not getting a look in, he has been great so far this season, very solid defensively.

Just to put the cat among the pigeons........would the Roosters have let Morley come over to England if there was a mid-season international against France? Probably not. Even if they did, he'd have been so tired due to travelling as to be nearly useless. The situation's the same in reverse for this game. Webb and Leuluai may well be the best players in the 1 and 7 jerseys for NZ but their effectiveness was always going to be negligible because of the distance they travelled.

He probably would be serving a suspension for his suspect 'Tackling Technique'.

Probably the most suspended/sin-bin/sent-off player I've ever seen.

Sydney knew what they were taking on when they signed him from Leeds. They were impressed with his efforts in the Tri-Nations. Although getting sent-off in 12 seconds was pretty stupid.

Lol I remember that, couldn't believe it myself, he is such an idiot on the field.

Just thought I would add a video of the tackle.

IIRC, towards the end of the match GB had a goal line dropout, they decided to go for the short one but it didn't even go the 10 metres haha.
