Certainly not - but looks as if they are super keen to have him return and will try everything in their power.

The 150k transfer fee will come from the cap, it's got nothing to do with Tinkler.

Tinkler still has to fork out the money. And it comes under the cap not from the cap.
 
Under the cap and from the cap means the same thing to me? If it means something else for some handout English reason then it's still pretty obvious what was meant.
 
Also, it is the Knight's money that pays for the salary cap, not Tinklers. We get it as a grant from the NRL. If Tinkler bought the team and didn't intend to spend all the salary cap then something's gone horribly wrong.
 
Exactly slotmachine, transfer fees for players in the ESL don't count towards the salary cap, anyone can pay the fee to the Super League club. I think the Knights are just trying to do the right thing by Leeds and find them a decent replacement since they're taking one of their better players and why would Tinkler fork out 150k if there's another way around it.
 
Yeah I think so too! it looks like to me they are just getting the knights to find someone to take his place to save them doing it.

The grant doesn't cover the entire salary cap you know?
 
The grant will exceed the cap with the new TV rights deal anyway.

And we should find any old scrub for Leeds, and put a bow on them with "from W.Bennett" on it. He has the stature in the game to make anyone believe. :lol:

It looks like the Knights will have to pay a transfer fee to get Danny home again the figure being thrown around a few weeks ago was between $150,000 and 250,000. Im not sure how much danny is on but it would have to be around 250,000 so that makes his price somewhere between 400,000 and $500,000 .If im right im sorry danny id love to have you home like all knights supporters but thats too much money for any player in the last year of his career, and just because the club has extra cash now doesnt mean we should go throwing it away that extra cash could go to the juniors or a lot of other things . This will be interesting as a lot of people on here thought $350,000 was too much for snowden (is danny worth more than kade is danny worth more than boyd not imo):doubt:.
 
I'm sure the transfer fee isn't included in the salary cap, so we should be fine getting him here.
 
no i heard its not in the cap but i dont think hes worth that much put gids to hooker and save the money for something else i say its too much
 
Yeah, I do sort of agree with you also. While I'd love see Buderus here again in the red and blue, I wouldn't be disappointed not getting him either knowing that Gidley could become a very good hooker in the future.

Like sands through the hour glass these are the Knights of our lives....is Danny worth more than Kade? Is Danny worth more than Boyd ? Will Danny still be able to handle the pace of the NRL ? Will Kade return to form ? Will Tahu make his UFC debut ? Will Nick and Sharron get back together ? Oops sorry wrong soapie.
