Anthony Miniciello has been ruled out and would u believe ex kiwi Karmichael Hunt has filled in!!! How do u feel James!!!
 
good on karmichael hunt, hes always wanted to play for australia... he shouldnt be forced to play for the kiwis or not at all. hes lived in australia for long enough and regards himself as an aussie then i reckon it should be fine for him.
 
I can't believe Australia have selected him ahead of Matt Bowen! I'm very happy, coz Hunt will be much easier for the Kiwis to handle than a few other players they could have selected.
 
I think it's a good thing, i don't rate minichello. And doesn't Hunt have a kiwi parent and an aussie parent, and he lives here, so he is an Aussie.
He played really well on saturday night too, Bowen had a shocker.
Lets hope Karmichael has a blinder !!
 
when i was watching the news tonight it seems like the nz media are trying to make a big deal out of him playing for australia. i think they have nothing beter to report on........
 
Yeh i hope he plays well for the roos sake but what bout bowen or even hornby!!!

I thought with the drama of stuart and bennett and hodges will like stop any chance of a bronc getting in!!!
 
Matt Bowen was shocking the other night, and Hornby didn't play great either.
Karmichael Hunt played really well, and he deserves the chance to represent his country.
 
So Bowen had one bad game? He's been carving up for years, while Hunt is really nothing special.

Even Wesser would have been a better choice, I reckon, at least he has Origin and big game experience.

yeah i think so, but i also think he was born in NZ? Im not sure. But is an Aus citizen (perhaps) and has grown up here so considers himself Australian, which is fair enough.
As for Minichiello, I was really upset that he was ruled out. Im going to the game on Friday and was really looking forward to seeing him play. I thought he'd strike up a great combination with Johns, Buderus and Kennedy and have some great running through on lines and stuff, but oh well. I really rate him, deffinitely the most consistent fullback in the last few years, and I'm yet to see him play a shocking game at an international (or state) level. I dont see what people have against him, myself.
 
Think I read somewhere he's been living in Aus for 5 years. So the same a Brett Webb.

Personally I'd rather have Webb for the Kiwis, he carves up at international level!

Agree about Minichiello, how anyone could not rate him the best fullback is beyond me!
 
Yeppo Webb is actually born in Aus and Hunt born in NZ. Hunt has an Australian Mum and Kiwi dad!!! Webb was from QLD but moved to NZ at a young age!!! lol basically a swap!!!
 
Webb only moved to NZ when he signed with the Warriors, which was 2002. So he was 22.
 
I think minichello is over-rated. He goes good in attack, but have you watched him defend, he misses real important tackles but because he's minichello commentators don't say a word. But that's just my opinion.

yeah exactly, so i dont see why they kick up such a stink bout Hunt playing for Aus...
perhaps theyre trying to make a diversion from the game in a way of tactics...NEVER works tho
