This year, OB coaches a grinding style that is the opposite of what worked in his 1 year in charge where we looked any good.

The people kidding themselves are those who believe OB has this in hand and is right on the cusp of having us be contenders.

But always next year though, and with maybe a better player here, less injuries there.

Finals games won: 2 (both under possibly the best rugby league coach of all time).

5 seasons of AOB
Made Finals: 3 times
Finals games won: 1

I'm sure if in a year or two when AOB might actually be under pressure we end up with a coach that yells at people it will fix everything though.

Nobody could have predicted Hastings basically becoming a handicap thanks to serious injuries either, give us a decent run during the last 2/3 years of a steady 1/6/7/9 and see how we go, in fact we had the same combo for 10 weeks last year and a bit of luck with and injury and wooshka!

I think he's doing a **** job this season but also he's been missing 50% his spine for half the year and Hastings suddenly looks 80 years old, so he's doing it with a hand tied behind his back.

Can't be against mediocrity if you don't want to sack the coach apparently Also, the only way to improve the team is to sack the coach, rather than letting the newly-employed POS assist in building a successful roster.

Not 100% sure on this one, but you might need to make the finals to win the comp.

You may also need to able to beat any of the top 4 teams to win the comp. And that we cannot do.

So to Kurriboys point, what is the point in landing 8th if it's a road to nowhere? And more to the point, what's the point in measuring success by finals appearances if making the finals is not indicative of your ability to have any success in the finals?

It's actually a logical fallacy to use finals appearances as a measure of success. Because very few people would regard those seasons as successful seasons.

I didn't say massive supporters, I said supporters. There have been posts saying they think he can do the job next year, so they are a supporter. We all want the same thing, the Knights playing well and competing, and yes I think opinions can sometimes be black and white, ie can he coach yes/no. My opinion: no.
