Adam O'Brien replacement?

Plan B must be well hidden.
I have watched the Knights under O’brien’s tenure, and he is a one trick pony.
But the game has changed so much over the last few years. Other teams have adapted, the Knights haven’t.
I see ex-Knights players at other clubs, who say it is so great to play simple football, rather than what was dished up from O’Brien.
Seems a nice bloke, but we will keep getting the same results if he stays.
 
I really think bringing in a AOB was a huge mistake. We all fell for the media hype. Just like we all thought Nathan tinkler would be the savour of the club. Alot of the mistakes the club has made, as a fan I've been on board with.
I haven't really thought We looked like a side that can do something since the night we smashed the chooks. Not sure how long ago that was.
I think when brown and moony had the right idea bringing hard trainers in.
Blokes like aiden guerra, Tim glassy, Slade griffin. People who brought a great work ethic and drove standards.

The club had the right idea of bringing in a coach to build on the good platform that was built.
I don't think from that platform we have gone forward.
I'm almost certain that any first grade coach could have taken the roster AOB was given and taken them to the finals.
I really hope that the Peter Parr and the board do thier research for the next coach. Unfortunately it won't be a quick fix. It will take years. Hopefully next time we build the club up to a strong point, we make right decisions to keep going forward.

I don't think McGregor would be good replacement as from his stint at the Dragons he was as bad as AOB if not possibly worse.

In hindsight the Ponga experiment was the wrong decision. Loss of Braiely was a big blow.

So I don’t think you want to change AOB right now. I think play out the season at see how we fair. I don’t think he has been great but I also think he hasn’t been that bad.

I’m really glad they extended Phoniex’s contract. He will be a good back up hooker, and you never know he might make his way into the halves. Or play that utility role.

I’m taking back my comment here about AOB. The game on the weekend has shown it’s time to move him on. The sooner we can get a new coach the better. The new coach should have a full pre season with the team. I don’t know what contract Morris is on. Let him play out his assistant coach role at south’s. Then bring him in for pre-season.

I’m not keen on Mary or Madge. I thinking Morris has a better understanding of the way NRL is played now and can come up with better game plans. Also think he will be good with nurturing our Juniors. Those other coaches including AOB have not adjusted to the modern game.

100% agree.

I was of the thought that a few astute signings and we were headed to the top 4 and challenging
 
I'm thinking McDermott is next to go, very experienced and has had success in the UK. He'll have had 2 years with us by the end of AOB's contract and would slot in nicely for a 2 year term with options. If that's not the plan, I'd go John Morris. If McGregor is appointed I'm done, membership cancelled and I'll follow the AFL...maybe.
