I reckon their recruitment has been shown to have been pretty good after all? A prospect like Isaiya Katoa and a young star like the Hammer could be an elite spine duo for a decade+. Tom Gilbert is a true alpha male in the middle. Herbie Farnworth and Tom Flegler arriving next year. Jeremy Marshall-King is randomly good now.
Could be a lot worse. Dragons, Tigers, Dogs, Titans, Raiders, and maybe a few other clubs, would all happily set their whole rosters on fire order to be able to build around a core like that.

penrith, manly (draw) , cowboys and broncos games all were lost on the bounce of the ball and/or goalkicking, we are a much better side than our current position suggests and much improved on last season. i dont think AOB is in any sort of danger at this stage and i really dont think he should be. unpopular opinion around here but i see no benefit in changing coaches at this stage. half of those 4 games go our way we are sitting well in the 8.

Just reading an article on Billy slayer and the amount of prep work he has put into origin and if we did want to replace AOB he is someone I think we should seriously consider. The guy is smart and he has that winner attitude about him, and I think he could really get the best out of Ponga.

I think he has the inside running on the Storm gig after Bellamy. Ryles has just gone back there also but I'm guessing if Slater wants it, it's his.
I'm thinking Slater doesn't want a club gig full time. I think the Storm moved on Ryles rather than missing out on him to the dragons knowing he will be the next coach.
