2026 Season

Willie Peters spewing didn’t wait a bit
I actually think he got the better gig if they can effectively make double the salary cap plus tax free third parties work. Whoever coaches Manly is pushing the proverbial uphill only Hanny has a harder job imo.

Big IF

Unless he has some sort of plan in place to bring in solid assistant coaches he’s in the deep end already and none of the talent he could have had at manly would be at PNG.
At least it’s a long leash there I guess

Surprising move giving Seibold last night's game then sacking him afterwards when they could have done it during their bye last week.

Or what they should have done is sack him at the end of last season.

Dreadful coach who did the impossible of giving the Broncos their only spoon and somehow through his agent Isaac Moses managed to get a job at Manly.

Maybe Manly are a making last minute ploy at Willie Peters.

Absolutely wild the with the 2020 covid season on and the constant rumours as well as guys like Boyd literally NGAF mode being so bad at defensive reads they didn’t count as missed tackles because he was so out of position and Milford playing like he was worth whatever we were paying him as a discard.

The Tigers actually do have a lot of good players, the only things keeping them from the finals are their mentality and a half whose pet play is jumping around on the spot and getting tackled.

That said this is a serious down week for the Wahs, the conviction of the first 3 weeks hasn’t been there. They’re sort of just going through their processes and expecting it to happen.

They have the cattle to finish top 2 and get that Mt Smart week 1 final, which is a non negotiable for them to win a comp, they’re not going to finish fourth then find another gear. That’s not the kind of roster they have.

Now that I think about it, Seibold did look pretty dispondent in the box last night, and that was with the game not quite dead at that point. So maybe he knew he was on his last chance. Which begs the question, why didn't he try to change the team up? As Harv points out, Jurbo revving up the boys when he is increasingly only there on reputation can't have been helping.

On Seibold "oh he's safe , he's safe." "They won't sack him now" " They'll give him at least half a season" ...and he's gone.

Manly’s been so bad, the axe was always very close. Could have easily been gone after their game vs us.
