With all the focus on pathways in the modern game the strike rate of these highly-touted prodigies making an impact in first-grade is constantly improving.

Kingston Seve appears to be the equivalent in his age group, would be great to see this trend continue for us.
 
Anyone else love that part of pre-season where outlets drop their "spine rankings for the upcoming season" articles? That time of year where listicle writers take a deep breath, look at the footy landscape, and scream stuff like "these four guys who've never played together before are actually a better spine than the one with Nathan Cleary in it" or "these four guys from the team which finished 14th last year with none of them missing more than about three games? They're actually awesome".
 
Has anyone seen the nrl is instructing the refs to penalise any attacking players who go for the ball one handed when contesting a bomb as a disruptor? Is batting the ball back not a legitimate play? Would our golden point winning try against Manly have stood?

Surely not! Players and fans would be absolutely livid. That would be a time to riot I reckon 🤣
 
Maybe it was a reference to the habit of some players of throwing up a hand for the appearance of a genuine attempt at the ball to disguise the fact that they're really just acting as a disruptor.

I'm sure refs were penalising similar efforts last season, so maybe just a reminder to coaches and players, contest the ball or stay out of it.
 
Yeah, sounds like the same thing as usual - if you have your eyes on the ball, it’s genuine, otherwise it’s a penalty.

I erred for the same reason mate, wanted to get a feel for Vegas before today
