Payten, after being an early contender for the first coach sacked, has earned an extension. How fickle is rugby league? Of course, Payten was probably only in the early-sacking frame because the Cows were underperforming, given the quality on their list... now they're winning without Tommy D.

So I assume PVL will just do both jobs officially now since he was essentially doing both anyway

Not sure how Abdo will go, Craig Tilley did a fantastic job with the Australian Open so they’re big shoes to fill for a glorified “yes man”
