2026 Season

Firstly, Sanders, woah what a player.

Secondly, Manly arent losing two in a row at home. Gonna be a very hard game to win next week, we needed Manly to take the points there..

I'm more confident in us winning at Manly after tonight but our record is diabolical there only winning 4 times since 1998 being our first win at Brookvale Oval followed with wins in 2006, 2018 and 2020.

Manly dominated possession by quite some distance in the first half and still only scored 14 points in that period.

Hopefully the Vegas performance wasn't a flash in the pan and continue to improve from a first up win.

Yeah when there was chat of them loaning Pezet for a year, I saw Raiders fans talking about it like they would be getting a hypothetical prime version of Jonah who’s already won comps, they talked about him like he’s the missing piece. Not another guy who’s mostly played reggies till now. I don’t get it.

Apparently they haven’t been ecstatic with Sanders’ progression so far but I really don’t know what I’m missing, he looked very composed even before the field goal and played his role with little fuss. Also he’s a left footer and Strange would prefer to play on the right, so he’s a walking talking solution to a potential positional struggle they were going to have being that the majority of 7’s are righties, therefore the majority of good 7’s are righties. Also Sanders and Strange are best mates off the field. They should be doing cartwheels but instead they’re flailing about for someone to take his jersey.

Pezet’s got a bit more flair I guess but the spine they’re trying to put together has dynamic running players at 9, 6 and 1, a guy who’s just very level headed and will get them around the field well is a perfect compliment I would have thought.

It’s pretty ideal that we’ve started the season against some of the weaker forward packs in the comp. Cows into Manly. I rate our pack above Manly. Their biggest threat will be Koula’s speed, and finding a way to stop Hamoule. I think he will be running at Sandon a lot, which is concerning.

We shouldn’t underestimate Manly, their forwards did a job on Canberra for the first 40 mins of the game, something that we likely couldn't do to Canberra. They also looked good in possession when they needed points late.

Turbo looks better than he has a in a couple seasons. Fogarty suits their style of play I thought. If we can beat them at Brookie it'll be a statement victory imo.

There’s always been that speculation that DCE doesn’t really fit in sometimes. Like if all the boys are together at the airport waiting to fly, he will be off on his own doing something else - heard that story a fair bit.
This goes back to him being a bit out for himself. When the old guard of guys may have taken a bit less to stay, DCE stomped his feet and threatened to sign elsewhere including the Titans deal unless he got what he wanted.
Funny how a lot of those guys just retired or went elsewhere.
Ten years later, results no better, but DCE still making the same demands…even being in excellent health still his leverage is less without the results to show.
Even if the year is another write off for Manly it doesn’t move the needle much for them the other way in improvement had he stayed. Honestly don’t blame them.

Noah Brown was a guy talked about in the preseason who was ripping in and earned his spot, another good find for the Raiders

Raiders get that roll on up the middle hard to stop. Then they have some pace in the outside backs. I had them dropping a bit this year, but I think they could be still top 4. There young halfback is good.
