2026 Recruitment And Retention

Actually really like the Jake Arthur signing.

As with 90% of halves they take years to mature into quality first-graders. This is his 6th year in NRL squads yet he's only 22, is now consistently dominating at Cup level - not something our current options have managed this year. Every chance he becomes a late bloomer who provides a solid halves option.

“Cheers for the debut, threw me bloody shoulder out of it’s socket and no one brought me off the field. Peace. ✌🏼

Paul Bryan, probably.

Bit of movement in the last 48 hours according to the Telegraph:

- Doesn't talk about the Jake Arthur move as a done deal but it's a safe bet with Toohey reporting it
- Lachlan Crouch back to the Knights immediately
- Riley Jones gone to Cronulla
- Also says Knights blocked an approach from Manly for Jack Hetherington

Can see Jones thriving as an Atkinson replacement in the 14 jersey.

Hopefully Hethrington re-signs on a much reduced contract.

Not a bad result for us. Depth in halves and forwards for the cost of a utility in Jones and a prop with a busted shoulder.
