Manus might not get another bat or will only have a short number of balls to face if Mitch Starc gets his way.

What do the selectors do then after firing a warning shot at Manus over a lack of runs before this game?
 
I’m enjoying extended cricket therapy after the Knights’ loss yesterday.

Marnus must be dropped from the test squad, he has been given many opportunities to turn around his form slump.

It’s generally agreed that Head should be moved back to number 5.

Kellaway is highly regarded and has 3 Sheffield Shield centuries at an average of 31.52, so him and Renshaw to open. Then we need to take a punt on a batsman with potential to be our number 3, I’m not sure who this should be.

Marnus should not be selected to tour South Africa so he can play in the Sheffield Shield.

Renshaw had so much promise as a young cricketer. He fluffed his early opportunities and he has had to score a lot of runs to get another shot. To keep making a living he developed a swashbuckling side to his game so he could be employable by T20 franchises. I really hope he has some luck and forges a late blossoming Test career.

I hope this proves to be the case. We really need some batting talent and at 32 Renshaw could be valuable to the team for 4 or 5 years.
