2026 Australia Vs Bangladesh Test Cricket Series

Smith going to carry us all summer again. Wasn’t too many good balls getting some of those wickets. Maybe Webster and Carey got a good nut each but some poor shot selections from everyone else

And very difficult to watch as our top order ****e themselves again, despite all their hype in the media pre game!
 
At least in the bad old days for the Knights, we were pretty much putting out our best teams; they just weren't very good. IDK that we can say that about the current Australian lineup.

Australia seems to be trapped, continually showing faith to blokes who haven't returned it, with a few blokes who are much closer to past it than they are to their peak.

PS. I know the Kostas experiment didn't work (but he's young), but surely they haven't got the balance right between player development and reliance on trusted old stagers.
 
The selectors would be helping Green and Marnus by dropping them, they are obviously not up to it at present. They need time out of the team so they can hopefully sort their games.
 
I hope Tanzid gets this century; he really has earned it. A long way to go, and anything can happen in test cricket, but it would be interesting to see the reaction if Australia loses this match.
 
Any team can have a bit of a batting collapse now and then, but I'm surprised how ineffective the Australian bowling attack has looked. (Got the flu atm, so have been watching today).

Maybe took this game a bit easy?
 
We deserve to lose, Australia have been picking crap teams on the basis of favouritism and former glory, we have been saved a lot by our bowlers.

Selectors have got to go and an overhaul of our development systems needs to be made.

I’m almost positive the board and selectors don’t have a succession plan in mind for when players get injured or retire which causes them to freak and pick anyone.

We have been missing a opener for a while now and I’m sorry I refuse to believe we don’t have a capable opener out there that deserves a shot, I don’t believe moving Head was in the best interest for the team at all.

And at the end of the day if there really isn’t a capable opener that can come in than it comes back to our development systems or lack thereof.
