This first trial plays out like this every year, i remember dusting the raiders 40-0 one year and we went on to have a diabolical season. Its a glorified opposed session. Next week will be a much better indicator

In the shot of the winger running away to score he was being chased by a group of kids. Granted I hoped those kids would have showcased more than a bunch of missed tackles.
Yeah I've mentally tuned out, it's reached the "who cares, it's randoms" stage of the trial.

I reckon they give away too much size to start the game, frizz/Elliott 13 getting replaced by Crossland off the bench might work

Games winding down now.
Gamble much better than the slinky, Sharpe needs to work on D but better option in attack, needs to trust the run instinct more.
Brailey looked very good at hooker for his stint. Thought what I saw from Arthur he could turn in to a handy hooker.
Liked what I saw from us with ball in hand and missing some strike power, better shapes and depth to the attack, halves digging in to the line more and not catch and passing.
Good first hit out, next week will be a better indicator with a close to NRL first half team.

Cogger’s nickname would be Cog even if he wasn’t called Cogger because that’s what he is, a cog in a machine.
If the machine is functioning well, he can perform his role in it, which is to get the ball where it needs to go so the good kids can do their thing.
If the machine is functioning poorly, he can’t do anything at all to fix that, and his own game also goes to ****.
We’ve seen this thoughout his career. The guy who struggled to hold down a spot at Huddersfield and the guy who played his role capably in the greatest comeback in grand final history. The same guy.

Obviously not good enough tonight but next week's game is the one I'm more intrigued with KP, Best, Lucas, Gagai, Thompson etc all back.
Hopefully AOB picks Sharpe at 6 long term and doesn't chop and change.
