2025 Season

Well they were lucky to beat us....looks like there won't be any last minute BS win for them
The game between the Knights and Warriors last week was a real slugfest. I was not surprised the Warriors were flat today, but I am equally hoping that the Knights don’t turn up flat in Canberra tomorrow.
The Knights will need all of last week’s grit tomorrow and aim their attack 3 wide of the ruck against the Raiders, who were fairly average there last week.
Here’s hoping for a good game anyway, with the Knights having a good game and getting a few of the 50/50 chances.

This kid is a mountain, but I doubt he has the motor to play NRL as anything more than a bench impact player. Blokes like Haas and Nelson are the exceptions to the rule (and he's bigger than Haas, and Nelson rarely starts anymore).

If he fails, he's probably not going to make much money, but the upside is that if he succeeds, the money is insane with former Rabbitoh Jordan Mailata as left tackle at the Eagles at $57m USD career earnings and signed out until 2029, so Mailata will probably finish with close to double that. And I'm sure there are other income streams for a bloke with two Super Bowl rings.

I'm so sick and tired of jurnos talking about and talking up the bulldogs, yea they played a good game on the weekend but my god calm down... and please stop frothing over Galvin, he had a good game and threw 1 good pass the week before but some people are talking like he just won the grand final.

They’re second and have won 14 out of 18, so it’s pretty deserved …

They’ve had a great year but I can definitely see them going out in straight sets though.
Gonna be very interesting to see how they go in the finals. There is that Bulldogs spirit that gets them through the big games, sometimes … I do think it’s a real thing!

They get some big home team calls aswell. Refs are probably scared of getting out of the stadium alive to be fair.

Very interested to see how they go for the rest of the season.

I didn’t mind the idea of them going well.
But the whole Galvin thing put a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Not just the way Gus manipulated the situation through his podcast/media over 12-18 months or the spoilt brat depiction of Galvin. More so the treatment of Sexton who was playing well and got them into the position they are in.
There’s a part of me on Team Sexton that would like to see them fail to click for the rest of the season and seemingly waste that chance they had.

But, I’d be all for a redemption arc if Sexton was recalled haha.

Panthers are building nicely. They will be hard to stop. I think their slow start has helped them. Reduced expectations early, and allows them to peak at finals. Top 4 would’ve been nice for them to give them a second chance.

I think Raiders may run out of steam. They should get the minor. And deservedly so. But I don’t know they have the big game big pressure experience.

Storm. They are showing weaknesses they haven’t in years, especially discipline. Can’t recall many other instances of teams having tries disallowed for foul play in the lead up. They’ve had a few this season. At their best - they win.

Very open this year. Exciting.

I hope the Warriors win it.

Would be great to see after their COVID sacrifice.

Very open season though you feel any of the top 4-6 could beat any other team on their day.

I can only imagine the scenes in NZ if that did happen ... might be a public holiday! haha
