2025 Recruitment And Retention

Troy Pezet (Jonah's dad) was our recruitment manager while Jonah was coming through the juniors. Knights fired Troy and then Jonah left for Melbourne not long after. Don't remember if there was much public mud dragging but was pretty clear that it wasn't an amicable split.

According to Troy earlier this year there's no lingering bad blood and he would've been fine with Jonah coming back.

Jonah didn’t say much at all publicly outside of just that he felt good about the move to Melbourne. Which it’s hard to argue with really, particularly for a teenager still learning to play.

I reckon you might be thinking of Clifford, who said some **** which sounded like a dig at the Knights when he arrived at Hull.

Logan Aoake has had a profile added to the firstgrade list, but with no photo or information yet.
I assume he has a development deal to get a profile and be named in the 22 this week.

One year younger than Kyle McCarthy - much smaller than Kyle, but a genuine speedster who can play wing or centre on either side of the field - same as Kyle.

i was impressed with him in the trials, clearly he's impressed POS also

Paul Bryan's last year here, understand he's had no luck with injury but disappointing he's been on a top 30 deal and can only make the bench in cup

Interesting development with Perth set to be dropped as an expansion team. There was a line of thought that Brad Arthur would be their initial coach and Matt's contract lined up with him leaving here to join his dad in Perth. May work out well for us.

Is PNG not an option for him?

I know money talks , but I think PNG will be a hard sell for both players & coaches.
Not really, plenty of both coaches and players will jump at the chance to actually to play nrl. Cant see them being competitive at all but, filled with cup journeyman and has beens.
