2025 pre season thread

From memory Pahulu had agreed to join the Bulldogs in 2026 and they were trying to get him early but that was before signing Leo & Maiu'u. There's an article from mid-January saying the Raiders had joined the race for him so seems like it wasn't a done deal at the Bulldogs. Knights definitely should be having a look at him if he's still available.

Dylan Lucas! Starting to be a leader

Has anyone found any podcasts/media that doesn't have us coming last, or bottom 4?
Just the usual bias I reckon, we are always discounted. More out of ignorance then any kind of detailed analysis. People assume we will be terrible because we aren't one of the 'big clubs'.

On Bloke guru mentioned after the trial he may have placed us to low. I’m sure a few of these poddies may have changed there view of us after the trial. I don’t know why they don’t wait till after the trials are over to make there predictions?

Anyway I had us 6th with my ladder prediction a week so ago. I had the roosters and Rabbitohs pretty low also.

Tipping has tightened up some what for round 1 Knights v Tigers. Have to say I think the tigers were quite good in the trials. They will have a slightly underdone Luai in the side. No Klemmer, no Api and no Olam I think?

Would any fan base agree with their team being rated as a bottom 4/spoon contender at this point of preseason? They’re going to **** multiple fan bases off no matter who they predict. Feels like the default when you know you’re team isn’t going to actually contend is to say they could finish anywhere from 7-14 or so, and invariably some of those teams do finish in the bottom 4.

Bookies have us as the 3rd most likely to miss the finals so it’s not just talking heads and podcasters who feel that way.

Why does anyone care what a bunch of podcast nobodies and washed up journos say about the Knights anyway?

They could all say the Knights are collecting the spoon and it wouldn't mean a thing. They all had our round 1 halves as Cogger and Crossland and will likely go 0/2 on that expert prediction.

Some of them still had Sharpe on the wing after the 1st trial and after O'Brien said he would be 5/8.

It was a long offseason. After “that pass” I had to watch something, as painful as it was. 😂😂

The pay off is we got to point and laugh at there reviews of knights this week. “I finally see O’Briens vision”.

I’m hoping for a season of “I told you so’s”

NRL podcasts seem to have become a huge industry over the last few years … see so many people discussing them on here now.

Pretty much every top eight prediction in the history of the sport has been wrong, so I’m not paying much attention haha.
