Cracking first day for England v Pakistan in our first post-Bazball Test. Bowled them out for 171 then still kept a decent run rate without being daft to get to 112-2 after 25 overs. Rain forecast for tomorrow though.

He doesn’t start coaching England until their next test series. Marcus Trescothick is the interim coach.

England have throughly outplayed Pakistan so far in this game.

And the run rate hasn’t been achieved by slogging or all out aggressive play. Rather, a mixture of putting the bad balls away and, at times, some atrocious fielding from Pakistan.

Do wish Brook would have got his ton though.

Hopefully Marnus doesn’t play in the test matches. IMO there is nothing to lose by playing Connolly instead of him. Ponting and Alyssa Healy agree with me.

State cricket needs sorting ASAP. Not good reading when only 3 players averaged over 50. One of them being SPD Smith, Jack Edwards who’s didn’t score a century but averted 51.75 and Hanno Jacob’s who’s averaged 54.25 in 3 games with 2 not outs. No wonder Marnus keeps getting selected

What mojo? Blokes cooked. His 32. Should be having his better years now. Can't wait for him to start performing. The state of Australian cricket is at the local tip.
