Cleary is so so good man.
Finals have been refereed completely differently from regular season games. Is it me or has the refereeing in the finals been a lot more liberal than the regular season?
Well said also. Both him and Bennet well respected and are only calling what they see. The knights v dolphins game was a howler also. This obstruction rule needs to be looked at again if not for the GF, next year.Ivan Cleary gave the bunker a well deserved spray last night.

‘Terrible, no understanding’: Abdo annoyed at Cleary’s Bunker outburst
In an explosive start to grand final week, the league has made a decision on the Panthers coach after his criticism of match officials following a controversial call in the preliminary final.www.smh.com.au
The obstruction rule has gone against the Knights this year as well.Well said also. Both him and Bennet well respected and are only calling what they see. The knights v dolphins game was a howler also. This obstruction rule needs to be looked at again if not for the GF, next year.
Salty his mate got fired.Anyone else see Gordon Tallis go ballistic on NRL 360 tonight over the Madge appointment?![]()
Fair comment. Though I'm in the group who think he should be playing.I was happy to read the NAS failed to have his suspension downgraded and will now miss 5 games. It was arrogant of the Storm to think they could get a double downgrade in the charge.
Lindsay Collins has undergone 11 head injury assessments in 113 and now failed 5 of them.
Arrogant? Anybody on the planet is going to try and get it downgraded to play in a grand final in that situation.I was happy to read the NAS failed to have his suspension downgraded and will now miss 5 games. It was arrogant of the Storm to think they could get a double downgrade in the charge.
Lindsay Collins has undergone 11 head injury assessments in 113 and now failed 5 of them.
How do you counter and make it fair for the team that lost a player to foul play the week prior then? eg. Collins. The question would really come if you change the rules to allow him to play you actually say the foul play is ok and this could potentially lose the other team a place in the GF.Fair comment. Though I'm in the group who think he should be playing.
It's a GF. There needs to be some way to manage suspensions where regular season rules don't destroy a years worth of work for an entire club because of an accident which didn't result in an injury.
The rules of the NRL isn't astrophysics, we are allowed to change them to form the desired reality. In the case of GFs, it should be treated as a mitigating circumstance.
