Cass just missed a bronze in the 10m platform dive. Came down to the very last dive. World champ was dead last. Shows how tight that comp is.
Gold for NZ on men’s high jump too. Came down to a jump-off and the commentators had no idea what was going on. I just stayed up all night and watched everything, went to sleep at 7am

Just watched the last medal decided…womens gold medal for Basketball - this will be one of those games that will be spoken about for decades!
USA won by 1 point, with France shooting the last basket with about 1 second on the clock, needing a 3 pointer to take it to overtime and sinking the basket, only to have one foot just on the 3 point line as she released and the shot only counting for 2 points… it was an ugly but enthralling game… the drama, the joy, the anguish - absolutely unbelievable to watch it live!

10 gold medals for NZ, that’s our best ever, what a great Olympics! Destroyed those per capita tables (apart from infernal Dominica and St Lucia with one gold each

I saw that too. Was really hoping the yanks would lose that. Very nearly did.
Did anyone see the closing ceremony? How did it compare to that horrendous opening ceremony?
