He’s definitely more fired up than he has been this season, but suffice to say there’s a pretty big difference between the service and intelligence around the ruck of Api Koroisau vs Chris Randall. The barge over is easier when you’re not running into a wall of 3 defenders

I’ve twice acknowledged that he’s been slack this year already, this was in relation to his try. He and his brother are dangerous running options in the attacking 20m and Randall simply isn’t capable of deceiving the defence and getting him an advantageous 1-on-1 like Api just did. A lot harder to barge over when you’re running into a wall of 3 defenders, was my only point there.

When D Saf got picked for Origin he hadn’t done enough to justify it either but it seemed to fire him up, hopefully the same happens with J Saf over the next couple of seasons.

I can’t believe a whole half’s already gone, that flew by. What a game this has been.
Weird half, Queensland started off totally dominating, NSW then turned the tables and then Queensland got a bit of luck to get almost level at halftime.

Teddy 15 runs 179 metres at half time. For me that’s been the difference in the physical battle. He makes it so much harder to apply pressure on the Blues coming out of trouble than anyone does for the Maroons, and the set is always rolling after his play 1/2 run, which J Saf et al have been able to play off the back of.
KP has actually had a pretty good running game statistically but he doesn’t bring the same kinds of involvements and he doesn’t generate a lot of ruck speed. Corey Oates is one of the best yardage wingers going but all the wingers have been contained quite well in this one.
That's one of the great origin tries, hope it isn't disallowed.

That’s how you get KP involved in a yardage set hahaha. So lethal on that little ball back on the inside and you can do it anywhere on the field.
