Given Freddy will probably only give Talakai about 15 mins again, he might as well have picked Wighton in that spot.
 
Klemmer is 10x better than McLean… Freddy is honestly a f*ckwit.
Would it be better if we lost this series and Freddy got sacked?
Because I believe if Freddy wasn’t the coach that we would be on a 5 series win streak 2018-2022 and we could’ve had two clean sweeps (2020,2021).
 
If the Blues win again it’s because the work the back three does in yardage + Cleary/Burton’s kicking game makes it so insanely hard for the Maroons to get down the field and allows the forwards to front load energy into defence. The Maroons can’t match that and rely way more on their forwards putting in a big shift (which is where they’ll miss the insane work rate of Cotter, no one in the Maroons can contain those incisive runs behind the ruck from Teddy/To’o like he could without being worn out). So in that respect you could argue McLean being there wouldn’t have made a difference in game 2, and won’t if the Blues are on their game again.

But FMD, a really strong opening 20 from the Maroons, a few errors forced, a few nervy mistakes from NSW, and maybe the game becomes a bit more of an even battle through the middle. You’re telling me you want McLean over Klemmer or RCG in that situation?
 
McLean is a masterstroke of a selection by Fittler. Can’t think a front rower in better form then the tall giant up in North Queensland.

Cowboys players getting rewarded for being currently the 2nd best side on form midway through the year.

Hard. But the one that gets me the most is this obsession with Stephen Crichton. At Origin level he has had zero impact with the ball in hand. Aside from a couple of strong tackles he also made some glaring and costly missed tackles, most notable was the no touch miss on Ponga who beat him on the outside and put Munster away back on the inside for a try.

He offers nothing near the impact of another half dozen centres who aren't in that starting side who are eligible for NSW.

Once I saw that he'd kept his spot and McLean has been moved into the starting side I placed a $500 bet on QLD. I'm a NSW supporter but QLD are going to pump that Blues team at Suncorp. It'll be lost in the first 30 mins.
 
Honestly can't tell if CBM is taking the **** or not.

Also cant tell if Freddy is taking the **** either, McLean is averaging like 110m per game the last month, zero offloads for 4 games and circa 20 or so tackles a game. D Saf was putting up better numbers when he was phoning it in
 
Post nothing but facts and seriousness on here. McLean one of the form props in the comp and will save Fittlers bacon, just needs to keep an eye out for that rookie number 17 for queensland. He is a gun.

If the Blues win the series, Fittler will coach the Blues next year. Obviously the length of his tenure is dependent on results.

Premiership winner Townsend called into the blues camp. If he plays and Fittler wins he deserves a 10 year contract.

Don’t see Reynolds anywhere near the squad. Payten is laughing all the way to top 4 with his preseason comment of picking Townsend over Reynolds for the club going forward.
 
I reckon Adam Reynolds would have done just as good a job of passing the ball to Scott Drinkwater and watching him go to work as Townsend has mate 😂
 
Can’t be true as this forum told me last couple years that Drinkwater is sh*t and Mann is better. Now which is it? :confused::confused::confused:

He also has more try assists than Drinkwater so that statement is a little misleading also.

I quite like Scott Drinkwater, good player. I’m not responsible for things other people have said lol, the forum isn’t a hive mind.

Anywho Chaddy is there cos the Cowboys have a bye week, it’d probably be Mitch Moses otherwise.
 
We need to start voting on an “Official Forum Stance” so CBM can get his “I told ya so”s on point.
 
Don’t think it matters who has a bye week. Billy picked Dearden as his 18th man before the game so he was unable to play for the Cowboys that weekend but then on game day went with someone different as 18th man.
