2022 season

Moses’ kicking game has been better than Townsend’s tonight even factoring in Moses has kicked it out on the full twice.

The Eels needed to be the team which started with more energy and physicality and they really didn’t. You’d think a team playing under the weight of all that history and this being their last year with a contending roster before it’s broken up, they might have been a bit more desperate. But North Queensland the side with more tomorrows ahead of them to compete for a title definitely look more desperate to me.

Excellent second half, both sides should be proud of that. Bad luck @cowboyman but a great season, and this experience will be a great building block for 2023 onwards.

Don't think the Eels can do it next week but they definitely stepped it up a notch to finish that match.
 
Really good game but gee there’d be a bad taste in your mouth if you’re a Cowboys fan, 4 point margin when one Eels try was off of a Tom Brady pass.

Great composure from Parra and they did well to seize their moment when they got it. Possession flow definitely went against them. But there’s an asterisk on the win for mine, very poor refereeing. Got the rub of the green big time.

Congrats on a really good season @cowboyman . They’ll be thereabouts again next year.
 
Ah well was a great season that’s come to an end. Couldn’t be prouder of this team.

Something close to 20 ‘experts’ across the NRL shows and journalists tipped this team to come last.

All the young forwards (except Luki due to injury) I’ve hyped up on here have gone on to play origin or be selected in the NZ squad. Payten has a lot of talent to play around with over the next few years.

Going to miss Gilbert though. Poor guy won’t be playing in big club games like that for a few years now.

Get Nanai and Robson signed to new long term contracts in the off-season and go again next year.

Yet was still the best half on the field.

Without Lane the Eels don’t win that game.

Panthers walk the grand final in their sleep. Eels are the one team that can beat them but tonight again proved to me that Moses is just a front runner so he will be a no show again in the final.
